Negative experience: Terrible service. We went with an agent so we didn't need to worry, however this was the opposite, the agent wrote the name wrong in the ticket and we couldn't board, the paper they provided us showed the name correct, we got to our destination 2 days later, the help desk takes ages to answer or do anything. Our hotels does not have our child booked, we were never advised what needed to enter the countries such as visas, declaration, nothing was mentioned. It would had been better to have done everything ourselves as the time and stress it has caused us is not worth it. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!
Sorry to see you're not happy with your experience Erica. Prior to confirming a booking, each customer is required to check their invoice, confirming their details, names and travel arrangements are all correct before any payment is taken or booking made. So, this does sound quite strange! I'd recommend reaching out to our customer relations team who can investigate this further for you. Negative experience: I paid $300 for assistance and support, but I keep on sending emails and there is no reply. In the airport I had issues with my tickets and they didn’t support me. They said my agent doesn’t work there anymore, but what about someone else to answer my emails?! I need to change the return day of my ticket and they don’t answer me. I call them they say they will call me back, they never do it. I NEED HELP! I don’t recommend them to anyone.

Negative experience: We have used this company before, sent for a quote ($10,000plus), and never heard from them. Won't be doing that again.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional staff. They must hire more people to service the customers. They are just busy on their computer and even not welcoming you. I went two days in a row and waited for more than 1 hour and the lady said that she is on a call. Such behavior and poor management gets the business down, owners should know.

Negative experience: I was extremely outraged by the poor customer service that was provided today. Went to house of travel first to see what they could provide and was amazed by the knowledge and care they provided us with. To see what was around we went into Flight Centre Barrington, all the staff looked up and then looked back down. After awkwardly standing there for a couple of minutes one guy said “have a seat i’m on the phone” - so we did. We waited. Waited some more. After one group was finished and the lady cleaned up, no one had even acknowledged our presence. We had to just walk out in the end. Working in a customer service environment I know how to treat your clients and customers and this just was not it. For a company that “strives” off customer service, this was heavily disappointing. Will not be using these guys or their other branches and would HIGHLY recommend going to House of Travel which is just two doors down. I hope this goes further because these are the people that work with tourists and I’d be ashamed to see this happen to them. This is not the Kiwi way.

Negative experience: The Barrington Flight Centre staff were shocking. I had rang a week and half prior requesting a call back. I'm still waiting. As I had used FC in the past thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. My colleague and I entered the office, four staff members present one had a client the remaining staff were on the phones. NOT once were we acknowledged and left standing. After a few minutes two staff started chatting, still no acknowledgement. 10 minutes later we walk out but not before I voiced my disgust. We walked straight into the House of Travel on the same block their customer service was 1000 times better than Flight Centre. Would I recommend Barrington Flight Centre...NO not unless you enjoy being ignored.

Fantastic experience: I booked a trip from Christchurch to paris with Claire from Barrington one, she was super helpful. She helped me choose the best tickets option and she explained to me the covid restrictions etc. As I got covid while in France she helped me change my return ticket and has been available even with the time difference. I'm so happy I booked through them. I've used flight centre in wellington too and everytime it's a very good experience. If you don't want to be stressed during your trip, use flight centre.

Negative experience: I had a very simple and clear request and simply never heard back. I even followed up with 2 calls and still never heard back. Terrible service.

Negative experience: walked in one day to book an appointment was told it was booked in and another staff member would be the one to help me on the day. Walked in at the time of my appointment and all the staff just stared at me and had no knowledge of my appointment and told me I should’ve known the name of who I booked with. Middle aged woman with shoulder length brown hair is extremely rude. Was working on one of the desks and had the rudest tone of voice, seemed annoyed that I thought I had an appointment and just said “well I’ll have to talk to you then”. Didn’t even want to talk to anyone after the attitude of all staff but mostly this woman. Made me feel extremely unwelcome and was talking down to me (being young and looking at an expensive trip I assume). I also witnessed this same woman be horribly rude to an elderly couple who were picking up something and didn’t know who had dealt with it. House of travel 100m down has a lot nicer staff who actually explain expenses and work with you.

Negative experience: Hey , This is what i dont like first people give some information . Then when it comes to time they say no we never said that . And also tone changes after taking the payment . Before paying its all nice and cool vibes yes this this can happen. And then later in tone changes no help. Not happy with the service paid close to 4k for the tickes. I guess this country is becoming like that cancel hate culture lie take money and move on . Not real NEW ZEALAND any more . Shame . Negative experience: Worst customer service ever , we been to flight centre on Sunday to book our tickets, and there only 2customer was there that time ,and one flight centre’s staff was busy with them , other two staff were busy on chatting, we waited there arround 50 minutes, but no one came to us to for the help ,and that’s why we have to left from there with empty hands !!No respect for customers!!
Positive experience: Great service. Staff is doing their best to offer great value and interesting travel options. Offering coffee or tea, when spending quite some time at the desk, would be a Wow-factor!
