The Travel Brokers: Reviews
Negative experience: Just had a terrible experience with another consultant from this company. Please avoid. I asked for a flight quote for a family of 5. One that was uncertain of travelling. A quote was received. Then before the expiry, I asked for 1 person to be removed as he needed to return earlier and maybe not even travel and just to get 4 flights for the others. He insisted that I get a quote for made up dates that I was not certain about. I verbally confirmed the other flights and provided my credit card number. I received an updated email, with the 'supposed' new quote for a different travel date for the remaining person. I never confirmed nor agreed to the flight being booked (no history of calls nor any email trail of myself confirming the booking) and the flight was paid for from my credit card for this new flight as well. I had to cancel the flight at MY COST with no liability taken but the company when their agent makes a mistake. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! By the way, flights are cheaper direct to the airlines, I have learnt!
Negative experience: Terrible experience with Lucy Marshall (independent consultant). She didn’t listen to a word I said, had no obvious knowledge of the travel area I was going to be in but didn’t let me know that, can’t cope with people travelling on a budget, put her regular, obvs wealthy clientele ahead of me although I paid her 4 months ahead of my trip, so I ended up sorting out my own 4 initial days instead of her overpriced suggestions. I should have flown out of Victoria to Edmonton instead of the taxi to bus ferry connector to Vancouver airport then onto Edmonton. I should get my $200 back, that’s how terrible she was. I do not recommend her at all- she is completely rubbish in this area. Go to Flight Centre or House of Travel instead.
Negative experience: Bunch of independent contractors - take pot luck at what you get and prepare to be told that they don't have time to deal with you if you're not an existing client. Also, any 'package deals' that are advertised are more than likely near impossible to achieve without significant price hikes - they do not purchase the rights to any preferential pricing so their advertised rates are based on the best possible ever rate and highly unlikely to be available.
We are sorry that you have experienced issues with trying to book an advertised special. All pricing is subject to airline and supplier availability dependent on your preferred dates. I would love the opportunity to understand the specifics of your enquiry. Please free feel to email me [email protected] - National Manager
Fantastic experience: Great bunch of people!
