Fantastic experience: This is an overdue review for a 3 day tour we did with flexi in the beginning of July. All the communication with Philipa was done by email and she figured exactly what we wanted to see and made the tour into more than I expected. Her communication was superb, clear and very quick even with the time difference. We wanted to see some site in and around Rotorua but the tour ended up showing us more than I expected. We were 8 people and we had our own bus and our driver, Rebecca was wonderful throughout the trip. She answered all our questions and explained a lot to us about New Zealand and herself. She was generous with the information and philipa was always an email away if we needed to add anything or to inquire about anything. We will definitely be back to New Zealand and I hope we can see more with flexi tours.

Fantastic experience: Our trip with FlexiTours was great. We went to Hobbiton and Rotorua. They try to be flexible with peoples’ schedule to the best they can. There was a lot of vehicle changes to accommodate for that. We were happy because we didn’t have to worry about logistics, they handled that for us. It was a wonderful experience. The best part of the trip that left the biggest impact for my group and I was our driver Edson! He was the nicest and down to earth person I have ever met in my entire life. I hope he continues to be able to brighten up others’ days. It was a pleasure to meet Edson and experience the tours with Flexi Tours.

Fantastic experience: We had Peter as a driver. He was crucial to our experiences being so positive. I wish him the very best for the future and his endeavours. FlexiToursNZ came to the rescue when I contacted them at the last minute. The group size was perfect. We met a family from Jacksonville, Florida, and two women from Singapore. We spoke, developed respect and shared moments during the trip. Our specific tour at Hobbiton was enjoyable, outside of the young lady who kept heckling my son to stay with our tour group and not wander everywhere at Hobbiton (but she didn't work for FlexiTours). Big T made looking at caves (Waitomo) a beautiful experience, especially with his singing. I hope one day, our friends from the tour group will read this review and smile, looking back at our brief encounter, moments of happiness from a short time in life passing through a small town reminiscent of a big movie (which we never watched).

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this company. Did a day trip with them from Auckland CBD to Hobbiton and Rotorua. They were incredible- everyone from the Director to the drivers to the guides was really accommodating and friendly. Tours were great too. They also picked us up and dropped us off at our accommodations if we were in the CBD.

Fantastic experience: AMAZING! This is the only word that pops to mind! Edson, our "tall, bald and brilliant" guide, was a veritable treasure house of knowledge, ideas and stories, beaming with kindness, consideration, and good words at every turn. He kept a close eye on his brood, knowing when to share his wisdom and when to let us snooze. The entire trip was very well organized, pick-up and drop-off service (for an additional fee but well worth it) was delivered so smoothly that transfer from one vehicle to another took me 1 minute flat. There are many tour operators to choose from here, but this one stands out a MILE! Flexitours will be the one I will return to when next in town and I can HEARTILY recommend them to all and sundry!

Fantastic experience: The most delightful tour! From start to finish, Flexi Tours was a pleasure to tour with. They are the only tour company I found in all of Auckland who delivered me from Auckland to Rotorua through Hobbiton. The bus ride was very comfortable and Dirk was the absolute best tour guide! He provided knowledgeable insight and good company. I even forgot my earphones on the bus and Flexi Tours delivered them to my accommodation in Rotorua the next day. Nothing but great things to say. (Hobbiton and the Glow Worm Caves were lovely, too.)

Fantastic experience: What an amazing trip I had with Edson and Daryl from FlexiTours. Super friendly and accommodating individuals who do everything to ensure you have a great time. I did 2 different tours on back to back days and the experience was amazing. They tell you little facts and tidbits about each place you're driving by. I highly recommend anyone to try them out. I did the Hobbiton, Spellbound cave and Rotorua tours over 2 days.

Fantastic experience: Had a great time booking our trip for both Hobbiton and Blackwater Rafting at the Waimoto cave. This was the only one we could fine that will do both as the bus route did not operate while we were there. Our driver - Chris was awesome. He was knowledgeable with great hospitality. Everything ran splendidly. We were picked up in the really nice Mercedes van / nice and comfortable ride . Thanks for a memorable time .

Positive experience: Great customer service and guide/driver. The transportation was very nice and clean, but I did not find the seats very comfortable for 5 hours of sitting. I’m not a big person either and it felt quite small. Although it was nice to have such a small group. Overall recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I agreed with the reviews here. We went to New Zealand in March 2023, had a GREAT time with Flexi Tours and would highly recommend it to future travelers! Flexi Tours is owned and operated their vehicles. They don't pass you around like other tour operators. They helped us check-in at each location and waited until we were done with the activity to take us to the next location. Chris was our driver for Hobbiton, Rotorua, Zipline and the Waitomo Caves. Chris was very friendly, funny and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the rich history of New Zealand and the culture of the Maori people. It was a great way to explore the northern island. Book the tour and enjoy New Zealand! What a beautiful country and people!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic 2-day tour out of Auckland to Hobbiton, Rotorua, Te Puia and Waitomo glow worm cave! Louise was very friendly and sociable, drove safely, knew a lot about the regions (particularly the cultural history) and made the bus trips interesting with her talks, audio stories and music. Went beyond what I expected - loved it and recommend it to others!

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing tour with Chris to Hobbiton, Rotura, & the Waitomo Caves and would highly recommend it to future travelers. Chris was so friendly and knowledgeable and we learned a ton about the rich history of New Zealand and the culture of the original Maori people. Fantastic experience: Edson was an excellent driver and tour guide! His commentary included history, geology, and jokes! When we had extra time, he took us to see hidden gems. He made sure we had enough time at each stop and gift shop, but also ensured we were on time or even early for our next stop. He went out of his way to make sure our tour was as easy and convenient as possible. He works so hard! Please give him a raise!

Fantastic experience: Visited Auckland inbetween COVID lockdowns and border closures May 2021. Tried booking multiple tours with other companies who kept declining my requests to join tours due to low numbers. I was given the advice by one of the cancelling companies to call Philippa at FlexiToursNZ to help me out and it was the best advice I could have been given. Philippa not only got me onto a couple of tour bus experiences to tourist attractions but arranged a bespoke wine tour for me that included a special annex off to a delicious oyster experience. At times I was the only person on the minibus, sometimes with other people and the guides were extremely accommodating, friendly and flexible. 5 star coordination, fun tours arranged and everyone involved went above and beyond to make my holiday really special.

Fantastic experience: Our tour guide Michelle was just amazing. Took the day trip to Rotorua and couldn't have been happier. Learned a ton about the history of New Zealand. We had a great bunch of people on the bus as well, which was a plus. On the way back, we encountered monsoon showers (in early April!!) and I was not worried one bit knowing she had a good handle on things and got us back to Auckland safe and sound.

Fantastic experience: Philippa and her Team are great. Very helpful and accommodating. Very Flexible indeed. Saw Hobbiton, Rotarua, Waitomo, Te Puia, had a great Culture dinner. Orakei Oraka was amazing. Guys make sure you do an overnight tour to see those things rather the 1 day! It is so worth it. The extra things ypu see and time you have!

Fantastic experience: One of the best decisions we made during our honeymoon was to book a tour with Philippa, who went out of her way to tailor the tour to suit my preferences (I wanted very much to visit WaioTapu!). The tour led by Chris was fantastic, and he was warm, hilarious and absolutely knowledgeable, entertaining us for the whole day we were with him in the very comfortable tour van. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Save time. Avoid frustration. Get good advice. Be confident in your choices. Covid has decimated many travel agencies. Only the strong survived. This one did, perhaps, because it deserved to...and tourists deserved one they could trust. Don't waste time shopping around and getting out-dated and erroneous information. My extended trip has been wonderful, mainly due to a great send off with Flexi Tours. I'm returning for more, feeling confident and trustful. If that's what you want, start here. Fantastic experience: It was quite a challenge to find but luckily FlexiTours offered a one-way tour from Auckland to Rotorua which combined a visit to Hobbiton and Waitomo Caves. It's a full-packed day but professionally organized by the team who take special care of everyone. Fantastic experience: Our driver Andy was a great guide and host. My wife and I had a great time. I will definitely recommend them to all who visit New Zealand for tours around the North Island. He even shared his own photos of the sites we went to in case our own did not come out too well - specially the Waitomo underground caves - between the two of us we had only 2 of over 20 photos come out good. Fantastic experience: Philippa planned the best two days for us in Rotorua New Zealand. The vans were beautiful, clean, drove nicely and our drivers Vic and Dallas were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We went to Hobbiton, Te Puia, Mitai, Canopy Zipline, The Polynesians spa, and glowworm caves. Philippa organized everything so that we did not have to worry about getting from activity to activity and we did not feel rushed at all. She even arranged a stay at the Jet Park hotel which was lovely. Do not hesitate to book with FlexiTours they will plan the perfect vacation for you based on your needs.

Fantastic experience: Andy was an awesome guide - providing heaps of insight without being intrusive. Phillipa was organized to a tee, ensuring timings and dietary requirements were met. We had an awesome day exploring west Auckland wineries and would easily use flexitours again for any North Island travel, especially group tours. They clearly know their locale and are ready to adapt to any group. Would love to travel with then again!

It was such an amazing day, our tour guide was brilliant - really informative and easygoing. There was plenty of time between each sight to have a quick coffee and a bite to eat. It's a full on day no doubt, but we found it to be totally worth it. Everything ran smoothly and we had an awesome time. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I did Spellbound and Hobbiton tour in one day and absolutely loved it. We were so lucky to have the driver and the tour guides we did who made the trip for us. Fantastic experience: I took the trip to Hobbiton and Rotorua. It was really great. Perfectly organized, great guide and very comfortable car. I was also offered free parricipation in Waitamo caves part. It was a fantastic day. Fully recommend.

Fantastic experience: The trip is much better than expected. Very careful and considerate driver (Mrs.Franz), she told our group many great stories about NZ, the places we are going to and full of other cool stories and willing to answer all questions. Many people say it is rushed but I don't think so. As you choose to get it all in one day then you will have to be ontime and willing to cover more distance in one day, easy to understand. The point is that everyone will spend the same amount of time in Waitomo and Hobbiton as you can not walk freely there, for Rotorua, you have enough time go everywhere as you wish. The food in Rorotua is lit too, best lunch in Kiwi so far. Finally, cant say how thankful I am as they contact me very fast to give me back the jacket I forgot on the van, haha. Thank you so much, guys.

Fantastic experience: Excellent tour! We did the Hobitton, Waitomo Caves, Rotorua route, starting from Auckland. It was super organized and the driver (Ric) gave us insight into all the areas we visited, as well as being great about chatting with us about life in NZ! Would recommend this trip to anyone, even if you've done this before. For first time visitors or those hesitant to drive, this is the perfect way to do it. Our driver went out of his way to accomodate everyone's different schedules at the end of the day. Super kind!

Negative experience: Wouldn't recommend doing three options as it doesn't leave you enough time to spend at locations. We chose Rainbow springs, Rotorua and Waitomo Caves... only had 45 mins touring each... with over 9 hours driving to get to locations! (From Auckland) also organisation of other tourists connecting with their tours interfered with our time, i believe. Also wasted 15 mins of sightseeing time at Rainbow Springs as there was a mixup with our admission tickets! Overall a waste of $$$.

Positive experience: Tour - 4 Coach ride - 5 The tour had three stops, hobbiton, rotorua and waitomo. It was a rainy day so we didn't get to experience the spots as thoroughly as we could but this was to no fault of the provider. Fran our guide/driver was the highlight as she shared her extensive knowledge about NZ and Auckland and its people throughout the trip. She was exceptionally polite and accomodating.
