Fantastic experience: We went into Flight Center Nelson to book some international tickets , we got an appointment with Danny.H, and we think it’s way easier to book flight tickets with an agent than booking it online to save some money, Danny gave us his time and has been so patient with us he got us the right tickets the right seats the shortest layover and transit time that we needed all that for much less than I would have paid online cause we are not equipped to search the way he does , Danny has been so patient, we think that’s an experience by itself, we are already ready to book another vacation with Danny for 2026 he just makes it so easy! Negative experience: By the time i am writing this review, i am still on transit. Left For my destination from Auckland on Saturday at NZT 22:00 now it’s Monday NZT 14:43, and still 16 more hours to go , where’as my total flight time was only about 23hours . And all thanks to flight centre nelson. I booked ticket by china eastern and there were multiple connections in china . Auckland-Shanghai-Kunming-dhaka I asked the agent as there is two stops , is my baggage will be all the way to my destination, he confidently said yes , baggage all the way and no visa issues at all. But Kunming is a domestic airport in china, as a travel agent they must know that , from international to domestic any one must need to go through immigration also needs to collect the baggage. While checked in Auckland Airport china eastern officials said your baggage is not all the way through, and you will need to face immigration. While i reached in china i had very less time of transit and time was not enough to go through immigration and collect baggage and board for connecting flight. Now since two days i am traveling the airports. China didn’t allowed my transit visa and i has been redirected to Singapore and now waiting here for my final destination flight. In the meantime while i was in Auckland i called flight centre emergency number explained the situation and that customer service staff was also giving me fake information, like bag is all the way through and even if its not all the way through I don’t need to worry visa won’t be issue or i won’t have any problems. And now see where i am.. 23 hours flight became 48 hours.. Touchwood I will reach my destination safely including my luggages , but who is actually responsible for this inconvenience.

Fantastic experience: We have had the pleasure of Danielle being our travel agent for just over 5 years. We have planned many trips before with various travel agents both in New Zealand and Australia and I must say she is truly the best. She is so great with everything right down to the finer details including selecting vegan meals for onboard our flights and sharing tips and tricks to make traveling with the kids easier. I love how enthusiastic Danielle is during the planning process. She always gets me super excited for the upcoming trip with loads of great suggestions with local hotspots to eat & drink, great experiences to book for our family, the best places to stay and everything in between. The ease of booking with her means we can relax and enjoy the build up to our trip knowing everything is taken care of and nothing is overlooked. Danielle has completely spoiled us with her incredible service which means I won’t even book a simple, straightforward trip without her. She has a wealth of knowledge and has given us some of the best travel experiences to date

Positive experience: Charlotte Bowen was so lovely and such a pleasure to work with, she was so patient and very fast with her responses to all of my emails - would highly recommend working with her! Danny Hampton on the other hand took days to get back to me and after 4 days of waiting for a quote he said would be sent “shortly” I received an email saying that he had gone on annual leave with no quote being sent. Would not recommend working with him.

Negative experience: Why isn't the Flight Centre open on Saturdays in Nelson NZ for travellers who want to book after working all week.

Fantastic experience: My brother and I organized our 9-week trip to Europe with Kylie Rutland from Flight Centre Nelson. At the start we were unsure about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do. She provided us with various options of Contiki’s and other travel excursions that prove to be popular among the youth which made it much easier for us to fill in our time. She was an incredible help and went to extreme lengths to provide my brother and I with the travel route that best suited our plans and budget. Throughout the entire process, my brother and I felt like we were Kylie’s top priority. She was very quick to respond to emails, happy to make phone calls to answer any additional questions we had, even sending us quotes on a Saturday night. It is clear that Kylie and the team at Flight Centre Nelson are genuinely invested in their clients and that they have the best possible experience. Thank you to Kylie, we are very excited to embark on this trip of a lifetime. I would thoroughly recommend Kylie to anyone looking for a travel agent who goes above and beyond to ensure your dream trip becomes a reality. Negative experience: I recently used Flight Center for my flight to SA from New Zealand, great service, even at 6pm, up to the point of payment. But I won’t recommend this option as when you contact / email the Flight Center that you dealt with 3 times over 3 days to get some help it’s concerning, worst part was the airline couldn’t assist because you have to deal with the booking agent. Seems like it would be easier to deal directly with the Airline and they will be able to help you at any point during your trip.

Negative experience: Seems like the staff there is just killing time. No one have passion. I went there on 16Feb around 12 in the noon to book a flight for my family. I saw a guy who didn’t even bother to check the ticket and said they charge $150 for service fee per ticket but failed to provide service. Poor attitude and totally wrong person for the job. I manage 2 hotels in Nelson and can understand the staffing issue but if you don’t want to serve, please leave. Do not let the company face bad reviews because of your poor customers service. I went and book tickets with House of travel after. Outstanding service and fully passionate staff. I used flight centre before and really have good experience but now will consider other service providers for sure.

Negative experience: I went there to book tickets for my family to fly from here to London and to Cochin and back here. No one was bothered to help me with anything. They said they can't help because if they do some people don't get back to them for booking tickets. How pathetic? I went to House of Travel, they provide excellent customer service and amazing people! Would never go to Flight Centre again.

Negative experience: Shocking service and a pack of liers. An agent Krystal just told a friend that they're booked out of flights from Auckland to Nelson tomorrow and charged him $650 for a return fare! After he had made the booking with her I looked online and there was a bunch of available flights at half the price! I will never go to Flight Centre for future bookings
