Fantastic experience: I initially went to a competitor who quote me an error-filled, wildly over-priced series of flights from Wellington to Canada for a family of four. Peter on the other hand, crushed it first try, and thousands of dollars cheaper. He helped us with points program, sky couches, and well-timed flights that fit the chaos of flying with young children. He was super fast at updating us with flight changes, and wildly helpful with any questions we had. We will definitely be contacting him again, next time we fly. Thanks Peter!!

Fantastic experience: Outstanding customer service by Petra and her team from start to finish. A complicated issue I had with excess baggage on a trip to Europe was extremely well managed. I had been advised on the best way to travel with extra luggage, but when I was unexpectedly hit with a massive bill at the airport, the HoT girls promptly swung into action and sorted it calmly and professionally. It was all dealt with while I was in the air flying north and there was an email waiting for me when I landed, telling me they were handling the issue and a refund was coming, all I had to worry about was the jet lag. Petra and her team know their stuff and, most importantly, they really care.

This was 12months in the making and Fay was so helpful working with us on an itinerary that met our specific requests. Having never been this far before we wanted to do as much as possible. Positive experience: After leaving my review the owner Petra followed up with me to rectify the situation. She was an absolute pleasure to speak with and offered me a refund for the extra money I paid for tickets that did not work when HOT purchased them on my behalf. I was not expecting this to be refunded, and after discussing the other issues I had re poor communication with the travel agent and train ticket being booked to wrong stop, she has offered my partner and I $100 credit each should we choose to use them again. I was not expecting any of this and appreciate the time and effort Petra took to listen to me. I have edited my review to reflect the positive experience I have had with Petra and can trust should I go through HOT again for future trips, any issues will be taken care of. Thanks heaps!!

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I were planning a trip to Italy, and we approached HOT early on to help with flights, itinerary and activities. Priscilla was great to deal with and came back with several options for everything to see what would work best for us with timing, budget and what we wanted to see and do. Fantastic experience: I was recently reminded how good it is to use a travel agent, and in particular Petra at HoT. As I was going to the airport to fly to Dubai via Sydney I received an email from Emerates that my Sydney -Dubai flight was canceled. I text Petra who'd just received it too. By the time I got to the airport she'd re-routed me through Brisbane. Yes it was later and yes it was delayed. But I got there. Dubai airport had been flooded. It was chaos. I met quite a few people who were stranded there. Flights had been canceled during the rains & floods and they couldn't get through on websites or to any person to sort things out and find out when they could fly. Some of them were very stressed. I am grateful I'd used a travel agent who could calmly get into flight systems and sort it out for me.

Negative experience: My wife called to see if we could book Disneyland tickets and hotels, the lady on the phone was very rude and stated that we had to book flights also, my wife tried to explain that we had booked flights and we were wanting hotel and Disneyland tickets but interrupted half way through was tolda again you have to book flights with us to book hotels and Disneyland tickets. Maybe think if a family of four are going to California they just might have the money to be traveling somewhere else that you could sell flights to. Very short sighted.

Fantastic experience: We have used Kelly-Ann multiple times as our travel agent since the re-opening of boarders after the pandemic. The service provided by Kelly-Ann is simply superb. Kelly-Ann took time to understand our requirements and then propose options which meet our requirements. She is always prompt, courteous and resolve any problem for us. Some people might question the need of using agents in the age of Internet but our view is HOT is worth every single cent unless it is a domestic flight booking. It is far better to enjoy the trip than worry about the mundane of travel bookings and resolving problems with bookings. Highly recommended !

Fantastic experience: Fay Aktins at House of Travel is great to deal with! I wanted to book a flight to Melbourne but didn't want the hassle of booking through the airline's website. Fay made the whole process so smooth and easy. She is an excellent communicator and responded promptly to all my questions. She also gave me very good advice about being at the airport at the recommended three hours in advance. While I thought this was excessive, I'm glad I followed her advice as I was held by a lot of chaos at the airport. Fortunately, I was still left with enough time to have lunch, relax and browse the shops before boarding my flight. From flights getting cancelled due to the pandemic and finally being able to fly overseas, Chloe has been an amazing help. Petra helped us with all our flight booking requirements and promptly contacted us when there were schedule changes which needed urgent attention. As a result we had seamless travel throughout the US. We did have a slight issue with some seating arrangements on the first part of our journey but Petra went into bat for us and it was all sorted quickly and to our satisfaction. Fantastic experience: I've had the absolute best experience booking a trip to Thailand and India with the help of Chloe from House of Travel. She was extremely professional, prompt to reply and always took the time to investigate all the possible options for us. We had a scare with a delay in Visa processing and 1 week out from our trip provided a Plan B to get the visa over the line before we went. We were very stressed at this stage and although the Visa did come through, the professionalism from Chloe and connections to a Visa Specialist to be able to offer a plan B was an enormous reassurance - cannot speak of her highly enough!

Fantastic experience: I recently had to travel overseas. Petra was very helpful and supportive all the time. I had to change one of my flights when I returned to NZ and even though we were in lockdown Petra was very attentive to my emails and helped me and my partner to go back home safely. Fantastic experience: Our recent trip to Rarotonga was beautifully designed by Petra but on day one NZ went into level four lockdown and Rarotonga to level two. Our return flights disappeared off the Air NZ app and there was a lot of uncertainty about return travel.
