Fantastic experience: Zozo Travel Tours – Scenic, Winery, Brewery & Goodie Tour We had an absolutely fantastic full-day tour with Zozo Travel Tours. There were three of us, and it genuinely felt like a private tour — relaxed, flexible, and very personalised. Our guide Phil was excellent: friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating throughout the day. Nothing felt rushed, and he made sure we were enjoying each stop and comfortable with the pace. The day included a great mix of scenic coastal and countryside views, a delicious winery lunch and food stops, and a fun chocolate stop where we even played a game, which added a really nice, unexpected touch. One of the highlights was seeing hundreds of seals along the coast — an amazing wildlife experience. Dinner was also included, which made the day feel very complete and well thought out. It was such an easy and enjoyable way to experience the region without having to worry about driving, planning, or timing. Highly recommend Zozo Travel Tours if you’re looking for a well-run, personalised tour with great scenery, food, and local experiences.

Fantastic experience: A brilliant day out on the From Cave to Coast Wellington highlights tour. Our guide Gary was amazing. His knowledge of the area and the stories were great. Plenty of opportunities for photos and awesome scenery. Great lunch also! Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see all the best parts of Wellington in a few hours.

Fantastic experience: We joined the From Cave to Coast Wellington Highlights Tour with Zozo Travel on October 16, 2025, and had an amazing experience. We happened to be the only two guests that day, so it felt like a private tour. Our guide Phil was outstanding - an excellent communicator with deep local knowledge about Wellington’s history, nature, and culture. We visited a mix of iconic sights and hidden gems, from scenic coastlines to charming neighborhoods, all at a comfortable pace. The tour was well-organized, relaxing, and gave us a real feel for what makes Wellington special. We’ll definitely book their Martinborough Wine Tour next time we’re back in New Zealand! Fantastic experience: What a fantastic day out in Martinborough, hosted by Simon. He was a wealth of knowledge about the area and the vineyards in the area. We did the 5.5 hour tour that visited 3 wineries - Poppies, Moy Hall and Palliser Estate. Personally liked the wine the best at Poppies and Moy Hall. The latter was where we had lunch (extra expense) which was DELICIOUS and a great lookout over the vineyard. Would recommend to anyone visiting Wellington to experience the outer suburbs :) thank you Simon!

Fantastic experience: A brilliant day with Phil on his all day tour from Wellington NZ. The quick walks at the national parks, the food, the rugged coastlines, the seals, the walk up to the lighthouse, great expert information (without nonstop talking - sone tour guides feel they have to fill every silence) . . did I mention the food . . . beautiful local produce . . don't miss this one.

Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic afternoon out with Phil on the 3 brewery tour of Wellington. Phil took note of our favourite beers and helped with recommendations along the way. The Garage Project boys gave great insights and knowledge during their tasting, Baylands has a wonderfully huge selection, and Panhead set amongst the awesome Brewtown was just an amazing setup. Would absolutely recommend Phil and Zozo travel for an honest and personal experience.

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic 5.5-hour guided tour with ZoZo Travel over the Remutaka Ranges to Martinborough, one of New Zealand’s premier wine regions. Simon was our driver and was very accommodating throughout the day, making the entire experience thoroughly enjoyable. The tour included scenic drives, cellar door tastings at three of the region’s best wineries, and visits to local artisan establishments like C’est Cheese for cheese tastings. What really stood out was Simon’s wealth of knowledge. He provided lots of interesting information about the Remutaka hill and other landscape features we encountered, which really enhanced our understanding and appreciation of the region. ZoZo Travel clearly operates with a personal touch that sets them apart. Simon had excellent suggestions for coffee stops and shopping opportunities, showing he truly knows the area well. The small group tour format made it feel intimate and special. We would recommend ZoZo travel to anyone wanting to use a tour company with a reputation for excellence.

Fantastic experience: Athena is the name worth our praises here, providing such good service through out the half day foodie tour, which we had some wonderful time, with the only 3 of us in the tour, she did even offer a discount on an extra wine yard tasting which turns out to be so enjoyable, we had a great day out ! Zozo is the place for you !

Fantastic experience: Enjoyed our half day in Martinborough with Simon as our guide, Simon traces his family back to the first European settlers and has a wealth of information to share about New Zealand and the immediate area in addition to the three wineries we visited. The tastings were pleasant with knowledgeable representatives of each vineyard. There was no pressure to buy wine but we still bought bottles at two of the three. Now have to figure out how to get them back to the states

Fantastic experience: Had a great tour of Wellington NZ with Athena of Zozo Travel. We had a wide variety of scenic location around the coast and to mountain tops. We had a very good lunch at The Chocolate Fish and continued on to get breath taking photos along the coast. We even came across a large pod of dolphins feeding in the surf for bonus photos and video. Athena gave us her all and provided excellent commentary throughout the 6 hr trip. A great trip to get a broad view of Wellington! Thank you Athena!

Fantastic experience: Phil with Zozo Travel was an excellent host and guide for this half day wine tasting tour from Wellington. Very accommodating with coordinating our pickup/dropoff as well as knowledgeable, funny, & efficient. He offered a picture stop at the top of Remutaku Pass during our scenic drive and also squeezed in an extra stop at a great local cheese shop after our tastings at 3 different wineries in the beautiful vineyard region of Martinborough. We had a great time. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: We got to see so much of Wellington, more than I imagined we would. The Weta cave was interesting and we enjoyed the lunch stop. Gary was very engaging and stopped at lots of beautiful beach & view points for great pictures. I left my purse in the van and he was kind enough to return it to our cruise port before our ship left. Fantastic experience: If you want to get a true Wellington experience, we highly recommend Zozo Travel tours. Phil, our guide and the owner was fantastic! He is very knowledgeable about the area, had lots of stories to tell and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a very pleasant experience. We had originally only booked one tour, the Cave to Coast, we enjoyed it so much we booked the Wine and wild Coast tour for later in the week. We saw a little bit of everything from spectacular mountain views to up close views of the coast complete with seals basking in the sun. Fantastic experience: We went for the " from the cave to the Coast Tourr". There are 6 people in our group. Our guide was Gary, he was very knowledgeable & informative during the tour.. Lunch was at the fish chocolate the atmosphere was friendly, the staff kind and although it was very busy, the service was quick and the food was delicious.

Fantastic experience: Completed the Wairarapa Wine/Cheese/Chocolate tour today. Tour guide Simon was a very careful and considerate driver. He gave a great commentary on the history of the area and the wine growing industry. We visited 3 wineries in Martinborough and had a great lunch at Moy Hall. Then on to Greytown for chocolate tasting and to Featherston for cheese tasting. A thoroughly great experience!

Fantastic experience: We went on the Wairarapa Foodie Tour, tantalize your taste buds! - Full Day Private Tour. It was fun and educational. Philip was our guide and was very informative and fun! We tend to ask questions-sometimes off the wall-and Philip rolled with it! You could tell Philip built relationships with the owners of the locations we stopped at. He also had alternative options just in case we weren’t up for say the craft beer tastings and took us to a winery instead. We also loved the fact he supported the smaller businesses-as we are small business owners and always try to support them wherever we go. From the cheese to the wine and fabulous lunch at the winery to the olive oil tastings and dare I say chocolate tastings (I am personally not a chocolate eater but the tastings were fun) we enjoyed the day, the conversation and the company. I don’t think you can go wrong with a group tour either-as we wound up running into the group tour at each location and it made for some fun times! Thank you Philip-we truly enjoyed ourselves!

Fantastic experience: Phil was such a lovely guide on our 10-hour tour. Our whirlwind tour is best for those who don't have too much time in the city but want to see the highlights - we stopped at a few national parks (LOTR film sites!), had lunch + tasting at a lovely boutique winery, spotted some seals, stopped at the cape, climbed up a lighthouse, and ended the day at Royal Hotel with a beautiful dinner. the small and intimate group also added to the experience. 20/10 recommend just for Phil's witty comments.

Fantastic experience: We had an absolutely fabulous time on on our wine tour with Zozo Travel last month and especially with Philip as our guide. He was quite knowledgeable about the region and the wines we tasted. It was a last minute booking for us and turned out to be one of the best decisions of our time in New Zealand.

Among the 3 tasting stops, my favorite would be the artisan chocolate store. Will definitely recommend to my friends and relatives if they decided to check out Wellington. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: Amazing tour!

Fantastic experience: Oliver was a great guide! We also had a fun group of people from all over the world in our van. It was a really fun day. The lunch spot we stopped at was an unexpected surprise. There were only a few choices of tapas-style dishes so our expectations might have been a bit low, but the food was exquisite! The presentation was beautiful and everything was super delicious. Everyone in our group commented about how much they liked the food. The "cheese" part of the tour was a bit underwhelming, but everything else was great. Oliver gave us a good variety of different wines for our three tastings and he was very knowledgeable about the area and the history of NZ as well. Recommended!

Fantastic experience: It was a great ladies day out, our host (Jewish chap) was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. He made an extra effort for one of the other tourists from Australia who had come all this way to visit her great grandmother's birthplace in Greytown. This just made her day and ticked an important piece of history off her bucket list.

Fantastic experience: We thoroughly enjoyed the Zozo experience from beginning to end. The booking was quick and any information we needed was met with timely responses, allowing us to make our decision without effort. Payments were easy and the communication was exactly as anyone should expect. On the day of our excursion, we were picked up on time in a clean vehicle. Our driver for the day was very communicative, great company and very knowledged about the region. Martinborough was such a beautiful little town and the Poppies and Moy Hall great. Our favourite was Moy Hall - it has such a wonderful ambience. The food at Poppies was delicious. B Wine was somewhat 'rustic' and didn't have the feel of a true winery - as we sat on old chairs in knee length grass outside a hut, listening to the dulcet tones of a lawn mower, however the wine was nice. I would certainly book again for a whole day tour, particularly to spend more time at other wineries and ensure we could have time to ensure we could walk around the little town of Martinborough!

This was valuable and helpful to me because I did the tour alone and I felt safe, plus, reinforced that I made a very good decision choosing this company. Fantastic experience: Been meaning to write this review for a while, sorry for the delay! Me and my partner visited in June for his birthday. We did the Craft brewery tour, it was intimate, relaxed and we got to try many different ales from a a variety of breweries. As it was just us, Phil was flexible with the tour and catered it to what we wanted. We enjoyed it so much we joined the vineyard tour the next day. This was a lot of fun and a beautiful scenic tour with lovely people. Thanks again Phil, we appreciate your hospitality.

Fantastic experience: Had a great day out with Phillip on the Wine and Wild Coast tour. The day contains a great mix of activities, of course the winery’s of Martinborough were the main draw card, and they didn’t disappoint. The food at Moy Hall was also fantastic. Heading to the coast to check out the seal colony and then onto climb the steps the Cape Palliser Lighthouse was a great way to then feel like we had earned the massive feed of Lake Ferry Hotel’s famous fish and chips for dinner. Phil was knowledgeable, accomodating and well organised. The pick up and drop off to our hotel made the tour extremely easy to access as the only then we needed to remember was to take a jacket for the windy west coast. The trip is a great way to enjoy good food, good wines, and a mix of great sights across the bottom of NZ’s North Island

Fantastic experience: Wine & Wild Coast Tour with Phillip the owner was simply one of the best tours we have done! He picked us up right from the Wellington port and we had a 10 hour tour with him seeing a good part of the southern eastern coast of the North Island. We drove through the countryside of New Zealand and visited a winery vineyard and ate at their fabulous restaurant Poppies in Martinborough! It was very very good and the surrounding area was beautiful! We visited the Rimutaka crossing and took a short hike over a swinging bridge to see some birds and nature reserve. We also visited the beautiful Putnanguira Scenic Reserve. We stopped by a cheeseshop, and chocolate shop where we did some sampling and taste testing. Then he drove us to the fur seal colony where we were able to spend time observing the seals in their natural habitat. Onto the Cape Palliser lighthouse to climb all 252 steps to the top! We ended the tour with a very nice dinner at The Royal Hotel’s Brac and Bow in Featherston! All in all it was a great trip which I highly recommend and the van Phillip picked us up in was extremely comfortable and he was very accommodating to stop and let me get any pictures I had wanted to get along the way. This was a very very pretty drive around the southern coast of New Zealand! Thanks Phil for the best Wellington trip for our family!

Phil did a great job with both sharing his knowledge in winemaking, New Zealand and Martinborough specifically, but also gave a nice historic tour with some interesting details of the places we passed by. Three wineries are perfect to both have an idea of the wines but still stay sober enough to appreciate the tasting :) The timing was also perfect - half-day, as promised. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: What a great day. Small group tour which allowed us to get a taste of what Martinborough had to offer. Our guide Phil was extremely knowledgeable not only about the wines but the region as a whole. We visited three wineries on our trip. A great mix of small, local wineries as well as a more commercial one. The owner of Muirlea Rise is an absolute gem of the area, his passion shining through. The short stop at the cheese shop was nice but it would have been better if we did a little tasting as well. If I had to list a downside it would be that at times it felt a bit rushed but then again it's just an introduction.

Aside from the wines being superb at the these places, our tour guide Phil was funny and well-informed of the places we visited and drove by.

Fantastic experience: We had a great day with Phil on the "Wild coast and wine tasting" tour - we had a spare day around a work visit to New Zealand and this was a great way to experience a wide range of different things in a short space of time! Phil is a knowledgeable and passionate guide across the many different aspects of the tour - equal parts historian, cultural guide and sommelier, and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. Fantastic experience: My wife & I went on the 1/2-day (5 hr) Martinborough winery tour, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Phil is an engaging tour guide - we had fun learning a bit about the history of the region, and especially sampling the various creations of the three vinyards we visited. PS - 3 vinyards was just right - more would have been too much. We look forward to taking another tour with Zozo sometime in future.

It was a good variety of different foods to sample with the opportunity to purchase some great local produce. Each place had high quality food and plenty to eat and drink. We would do it again and highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves to sample locally produced New Zealand food.

Fantastic experience: We had a great half day Wine tour with Phil! Delicious wines, cheese, chocolate and even Gin! Phil is a very knowledgeable guide and makes sure you’re having a good time. Booking up front was very easy. Would def. recommend!
