Fantastic experience: Great experience diving here! We did 2 different spots. First the 'sugerloaf' and than they main island of poor knights dive. Great spot to dive with alot of fish. Also really liked the storytelling of the history of the island and The big seacave!

Fantastic experience: Our 8 year old, Cameron, has been lucky enough to have a snorkeling lesson with Kaylah and today a scuba lesson with Freya in the pool on Clyde street. Both experiences were amazing. The teachers are so patient and kind and check in to ensure our boy is happy and feeling safe. I don't think enough locals are aware of the pool and lessons available right here in our backyard. Pricing is reasonable too. Thanks again for the water confidence you are giving our son! He might now have the bug!

Fantastic experience: Had a really great day of diving to the Poor Knights yesterday. The shop is based in Whangarei but you board the dive boat in Tutukaka (30 min drive). They brought all the gear for us to/from the boat. The captain and dive master onboard (Guy and Simon) were terrific and because of the weather we could take advantage of the mild conditions to dive on the eastern side. They asked for our input on dive locations (eg we all wanted to see lots of fish). The dives were spectacular and the vessel was accommodating for advanced divers. Half of the vessel brought their rebreather rigs and we all had a fantastic dive experience. It is a smaller boat, well designed for diving, but a smaller deck so best for staggered dive entries. Plenty of amenities like comfortable seating, hot water kettle for warm drinks, and a toilet. Dive gear was quality, dive briefings were concise but had enough information. The snorkeler in our group was also well looked after. We will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic experience: DIVE NOW: I am very pleased with the service that i received from this shop. They respond promptly to my queries via chat feature on their website, even after office hours. They also gave me excellent suggestions to the gears that I am wanting to purchase. BEUCHAT MAXLUX S MASK: I’ve used this mask for the first time few days ago during an all day snorkelling and free diving adventure in southeast asia. I have a really small face (and nose) and have struggled with mask fit (comfort) and leaks in the past. Beuchat Maxlux, however worked really well for me. It fit my face like a glove. I find the material really soft and comfortable on the face as well.

But still I would highly recommend that place: We wanted to give but he told us his honest opinion that the weather is not that great and we would not really enjoy the dive anyways. Fantastic experience: I’ve been diving at the Poor Knights on and off for the last 15 years, and I’ve been out with every dive company working in the rohe. Dive Now not only met but exceeded my expectations of what a good dive charter should be - this is very hard to do because I have extremely high expectations for good dive charters. Herbie our skipper was able to give excellent detailed descriptions of each site we visited, and his recommendations based on our levels of experience were spot on. The ride out was choppy but he got us there and back safely, took us on a beautiful tour round the islands between dives, and was helpful, personable, funny, and very knowledgeable. Simon and Jamie-Lee, the owners of Dive Now, are fantastic and worked hard to get us out on the boat safely while trying to navigate a good window between terrible weather bombs. Everyone was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and clearly passionate for sharing these treasured places around the Poor Knights. I’m already trying to plan my next trip up here!

Fantastic experience: +1 : 5* for a great Dive center+shop. Thanks to borders opening, I came to Whangarei from France (CMAS3*) after 2 years without scuba diving(COVID side effect). I have got a great refresher course in Dive Now own diving pool, perfect for balance work. All Rental Gear parts where in perfect condition. Then on a bright Matataki sunday got a day trip to Poor Knights that was great. Maybe en average day if you dive there every week all years long...but a very fine winter 2 dives journey. ThanksCaptain Glenn, Dive-Director Simon, instructor Freyja, and assistant instructor HHecto, all lovely, friendly and helpfull Diving for more than 20 years on a "top 50 dives of the world" in a méditerranéan site at my door, I agree with top10 rating for Poor Knights réserve. I think Dive Now IS a great human sized, technicaly top safe, way to see them.

Fantastic experience: This was a very special day, taking our Hauora Moana volunteers out to the marine reserve to experience first hand what really healthy marine ecosystems look like. Dive Now's boat "Arrow" (and their friendly, relaxed and professional approach) provided the perfect platform for this educational, ecological training day. We were also really privileged to have mana whenua of the islands with us to share their sense of deep connection and Kaitiakitanga with these remarkable islands.

Fantastic experience: We (Me and my 2 kids, 14 and 17) have completed a range of SSI courses with the team at Dive Now. From the instore pool, to the local beaches, The Poor Knights and the Canterbury wreck the locations have been varied and interesting. Whether it be night dives as part of the Advance Adventurer, 40M at Serpent Rock (Poor Knights) on the Deep Course, or Nitrox at the Canterbury the Dive Now team have been fantastic. Nothing is a problem, the advice on equipment has proven correct every time and now they have added Arrow to the mix, diving with them has gotten even better. With my 14 year old wanting to dive inside wrecks we will be back for more.
