Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Becks in Dunedin! Pick up was easy at the cruise ship terminal, a comfortable van was waiting for us just outside. Becks is very friendly and passionate about her city, and knew all the best viewpoints to show us. The tour was very flexible as well; Becks gave us a few options for places we could see. We ended up going to the botanical gardens, which were beautiful. Overall, booking a tour with Becks was a much better idea than booking something through the cruise line. If you only have a short time in Dunedin and are looking for a great tour of the city, look no further than Bookatour!

Fantastic experience: Had one day in Dunedin when our cruise ship docked. I read about the one day Larnach Castle tour and decided that would be a great option. I am glad we did! Bex was great! She was friendly, informative, and fun. We learned quite a bit of the area and saw some beautiful sites. I cannot recommend bookatour enough. She even ad libbed a bit when someone asked if we could stop for some quick shopping since this was our last port in NZ. My only knock is that we were not there two days to see more of the island.

Fantastic experience: We did the Larnach Castle city sights with lunch with Bex. Everything was absolutely amazing. Bex was waiting for us in the terminal as we disembarked the ship. We left promptly and had a great day. Bex is not only knowledgeable about her hometown Dunedin but so fun to be with! The van was super comfy and lunch was delicious at a cute little cafe’. We arrived back to the ship with time to spare. Thank you Bex for a great day!! Looking forward to seeing you in April when the ship returns. Can’t recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: Excellent ‘Fancy a Quickie’ 60 minute tour today of Dunedin. Very friendly informative bus driver/guide. Took us to all the main sites of Dunedin which gave us a good overall idea of the city. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Had fabulous communication while on a cruise organising a tour for Dunedin, everything went so smoothly and was perfectly and easily organised for us. Meet us at the wharf info centre with a sign, we were included into a group totalling 18 for 6 hours, and it was a jam packed day, for a quarter of the price the cruise ship was asking to visit just one of the places we saw, and we were able to see over 6 locations. The local knowledge and experience she shares are an added bonus. Bex is genuine and a great tour guide.

Fantastic experience: Bex is the best ever since I started communicating with her. The tour of Dunedin was absolutely amazing. Though there was a bit of confusion just at the start of the tour and also at lunch time, other than that all went fine and smooth. Murry was a great guide and loved how he added a New Zealand flair to the places he took us to. He was also very accomodating since we had to visit family during the tour duration. This tour is absolutely great and fantastic for 1st time travelers to Dunedin. I give it a 5 star all around

Negative experience: I contacted this company via phone and spoke with Bex. She assured me they had room for us on a Otago Peninsular tour; however she was unable to talk due to conducting a tour at that time. This I understand; however I was told she'd return my call on 3 separate occasions. Not once were my calls returned. Thankfully we didn't rely on this company for a tour, otherwise we'd have missed out completely. If you can't fit people on a tour or couldn't be bothered to return their calls, then don't tell them you can or will!! Worst customer service we experienced in NZ during all our cruise port visits. Fortunately a better tour company got my business! Edit in response: 1st to send me a threatening text message to take my review down simply shows your true colours Bex. If anyone wants to see it, I'm happy to supply! You really think sending someone a threatening text about their review is appropriate! You've got time to send me a tex about my review, yet could couldn't send a text to say'sorry but we can't get you on a tour'. Again, true colours!! 2nd, unfortunately for me and unlike most, I work in an industry where I could very easily have my leave request cancelled. Thus I don't pre-book tours as to ensure I don't lose more money if this occurs! But of course you can't even apply a level head to think that there are reasons why people don't pre-book! I'm so sorry I don't have a normal 9-5 job to allow me to do this! 3rd, you have completely missed the point of the review, probably because you know you stuffed up and are now not accepting the consequences of your actions. My issue was I called you 3 times, 3 times you said you could fit us in, 3 times you said you would call back, 3 times you failed to call back. There where plenty of tours still available to go on, thus we still did the tour we wanted. Your lack of being straight with a potential client is why you were given such a review as it had the potential to cause us to not get our tour due to relying on your "yes I've got room, but can I call you back", phone calls that you never made. DON'T TELL PEOPLE YOU CAN FIT THEM IN AND CALL THEM BACK IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DO EITHER!!!

Negative experience: The hubby took me on a lovely tour a few months ago and i was not too pleased with the customer service provided by Bex during our tour. What a shame, we should have been taken care of and we didn’t even get any acknowledgement. Would have much preferred to have another tour guide. Would suggest staff be a bit friendlier next time….

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic tour guide Bex is, cannot recommend her and her tours highly enough. We have had five tours with her Company. And have never had so much fun, and learnt so much about beautiful New Zealand. This is our fourth trip to New Zealand. This time we did two different tours in Dunedin, and one actually today with Tim in Wellington. What an educational experience. They take you to places you may not know about if you just drive around a city by yourself, you may see things but not really understand the background about them. Would definitely give a rating of 10 stars if available. Outstanding!!!

Fantastic experience: We booked a private tour with Bex in Dunedin. She went out of her way to immediately respond via email on my inquiries (many of them!) and I found her refreshingly honest about the value of sights and sounds in Dunedin but also in other ports. We LOVED our time with Murray and Heidi at Bees' Knees - what a fun morning that made. Their hospitality and their property were welcoming and loving. Bex helped us find two specific addresses associated with one of the six of us in our group - that was a bonus. Lunch at the Secret Garden at Glenfalloch was lovely - be sure to allow for more than 1 hour for that! I'll be sure to book with Bex again when I come back.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend Bookatour as I found (Bex) and her other tour guides were very friendly and informative. They took us to places that were extremely picturesque and very educational and any questions were answered when asked. I would highly recommend Bookatour to any one who is visiting any City in N.Z. Their knowledge about the culture of the maori's and their traditional background information that was given is one I can take back to my own country

Fantastic experience: I booked all my NZ tours with Bex from Bookatour NZ. I cant speak highly enough of how well she organised all our tours, she accommodated all our special requirements without a problem and made it very stress free for us just to come and enjoy everything we asked for - thank you Bex these are the best tours we have ever done without a doubt.
