Fantastic experience: We have just arrived back home from our Europe trip that Ellie helped booked, which my 7 year old son loved! When I initially spoke with Ellie late last year, I provided her with our draft itinerary which she made a reality She has been very patient with me and my questions during the planning and booking process, as well as when we were overseas. She also provided guidance which was helpful and I came to understand her view when we were overseas. This was our first time in Europe, and it was definitely one to remember! Fantastic experience: Needing to make a long distance air booking to USA, Deepti Mehta at House of Travel had beeb recommended to us so called her and gained an immediate appointment. Our request was dealt with quickly and efficiently with a booking offered and made. Deepti also offered to find a reasonable priced hotel near where we needed to make a connection and a few options were given to us. It was all done very satisfactorily.

Dee was so lovely and looked into all options for me as we are traveling with kids, so understood the need for good flight and transfer times. I had my son with me and Dee was very friendly and great with him, offering cookies, asking questions and just communicating well and keeping him interested. The owner was also wonderful and offered a paper plane and chatted with him. Both people made the whole booking experience really easy and enjoyable! Very highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I had been using HOT services since my kids were in primary school. (They all had grown up, and we got one grandson ). At that time I went to HOT Henderson, right at the back of Westfield Mall. I was served by Joanne, but also knew Debbie and Talita. Later they moved their office to New Lynn Mall, and I had always booked our yearly family holidays through them ! After COVID, unfortunately they closed their New Lynn office. The last time I booked our family holiday was in Dec. 2020 at another building closed to New Lynn Mall. Jackie the owner & her only staff Vanessa, was the one helping us. When Jackie told me that she had to sell her shares of the HOT and moved on, I was so devastated ! Fast forward to 2024, just about 2/3 months ago, while I was planning our trip , I found out that Talita was one of the staff at HOT Hobsonville Point, so close to where we live ! I was so happy to have found her ! She had always been friendly and knowing that she had worked as a travel agent with HOT for so long ( I had known her for over 15 years or more), I couldn't be happier to let her help me & my spouse's trip to Canada ! Not only Talita is very experienced and knowledgeable, but she worked an extra mile to help her client, including letting me call her on her mobile after I came home from my shop at around 21.30 pm !! I honestly wasn't expecting that as it was already late and way passed her working time ! But since I needed to quickly confirm our tour, she didn't mind it at all ! So yes, I would definitely recommend Talita and HOT Hobsonville Point to anyone wanting to plan their trips. Mike , the owner, was also very friendly when I first met him , and he definitely has got a staff that he can rely upon.

Fantastic experience: Having decided to travel to UK in 2025 I 'phoned House of Travel Hobsonville and arranged an appointment with Ellie a consultant at the Branch. Ellie was very welcoming and suggested seating arrangements for my comfort , Ellie also organized assisted travel and the seats requested by me. Ellie is a charming girl kind patient efficient and happy to answer questions however complex or simple. Ellie is an asset to the Hobsonville branch and I recommend her to all who wish to make travel arrangements through an agent.

Fantastic experience: Deepti, booked my package according to my requirements, found the best flights and hotels for me. Guided me with the best way to travel with an infant. Was able to answer all my questions. Her knowledge about countries and travelling is very impressive. She is a great asset. Keep up the good work.

Negative experience: I had a very horrible experience this morning with a travel consultant. I called to book a package for my son’s 13th birthday. Before the consultant listened to my whole inquiry. She immediately became defensive and said I can not price match your flights. When actually I didn’t even ask for a price match. I was totally taken aback when I was called a user and verbally abused and yelled at. When I was in total shock I proceeded to ask to speak with the manager and she refused to transfer the call saying no one will believe you over her words is what she said to me. I am sure other consultants would have heard her speaking to me this way. I was so confused and upset I have never been treated so poorly and unprofessionally in my life. (Having worked in travel myself previously before). When clearly she was speaking to me in this uncalled for unprofessional manner. I live locally and I was wanting to see if house of travel had access to the same accommodation and I was wanting to come and give business to a local travel agent. I instead I was abused by this consultant Namrata. I have now since booked my entire package online. In the future I will only be booking mine and my family’s holidays online.

Positive experience: Rodney and I have used Talita for many years of travel following her from her previous New Lynn branch. She has helped us with travels across the world guiding us with cruises, hotels and transfers, giving us peace of mind to enjoy our new adventures. We love cruising and booked 2 family cruises with her as well. Talita is only a phone call away for any queries, helping us with technology at times, welcomes us when we enter and a pleasure to deal with.

I needed a great recommendation for me and the family which was reasonably priced and Buzz narrowed down my what my needs were super quick and we settled on Plantation Island in Fiji. I have travelled extensively, and have been in tourism internationally for over 30 years but still found the convinience and service that this agency provided was helpful and fantastic. Negative experience: Mike the owner needs to approach customers who owe less than $300 dollars with a bit more professionalism. After paying almost 10k for another holiday with you guys there is a slight misunderstanding between me & my partner about $290 transfer fees. Mike emails me acting as if this payment will destroy his business. A call would’ve been easier wouldn’t it? Was just about to book Europe with Sunisa but I’ll be using your competition now. Negative experience: WARNING!!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM Sunny Chanthavong!!! She is incompetent and failed to do her duty as a travel agent on TWO HOLIDAYS purchased from house of travel! She has lost my family $1989.00 for tickets to Canada by FAILING to mention new travel rules regarding a $7 ETA Electric Travel Authority) to enter. We booked 3 months in advance trying to save money but it cost us more than double!! We MISSED OUR FLIGHT bc of no ETA (Electric Travel Authority) and had to cancel our tickets and BUY NEW TICKETS at the airport BECAUSE of THIS! The second MISTAKE was she MISSPELLED my mothers name TWICE after correcting her the first time on A TICKET TO AUSTRALIA. The airport had to amend this, it was a very stressful experience and we were in tears and panicked yet again. SUNNY DID NOT PROVIDE TRAVEL ITINERARIES nor CHECKLISTS for us to CHECK TRAVEL DETAILS!! Sunny does not care for customer experience, has ZERO attention to detail nor is she sympathetic. Nothing has been done for us!!! My parents were told it was their responsibility to buy ETA for Canada independently, AND WE WOULD HAVE IF SHE TOLD ABOUT THE NEW TRAVEL RULES!! Final warning do not plan a holiday here, it will be a disaster!!!

We booked and then he followed up with all paperwork. This is one of the best Customer Service experiences I have had in a long time. If anyone wants to book a trip overseas or around New Zealand give them a call, they go the extra mile.

Fantastic experience: Five stars because I have only heard good things locally about this place. But it didn't seem to work for me. I was at the starting point of arranging a five people holiday to an area I knew nothing about. I wanted to book through here, for security in these unusual times but I don't think the agent believed me. Limited options given and no follow up.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusted in the treatment from the manager of this store. Went in this morning to book a large trip to Europe for 4 people with complex flight bookings hence needing to book via an agent. The manager refused to serve me as I was not wearing a mask despite having a medical exemption. Will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Team at HoT Hobsonville point AKL didn't give up over a year and a half to fight to get a refund for me for a flight cancelled due to the pandemic, even though the airline was denying it firmly, giving proof of being high professional, absolutely caring and really thoughtful. Fantastic experience: Our tour last year with Wendy Wu was cancelled because of Covid, so Buzz suggested a small trip of 11 days with Wendy Wu called Hidden Gold of the South which we are so pleased we did and consider this tour exceptional value for the places we stayed and the meals supplied. We added a 5 day trip ourselves to the West Coast, and Buzz looked after all our flights, TranzAlpine tickets, rental car and accomodation. Thank you Buzz for an excellent job. Stonyridge was AMAZING and the food - WOW!!! Our tour guide Lance just made our day!!! I could not have asked for more, or enjoyed this day more. We all had an absolute BLAST!!! Fantastic experience: Highly recommend. They helped us to book the holiday of a lifetime. The process was so easy with options presented and pros and cons of each discussed. Unfortunately the covid-19 pandemic then hit and the holiday had to be cancelled. They helped us recover more in refunds that we had expected with the money promptly returned to us. We will be back to book our next big overseas adventure when this pandemic settles down. Can't recommend highly enough.
