We have moved our helloworld Travel store from Tauranga Crossing, Tauriko, to 4 Boulder Lane (Lakes Boulevard side in the old Tremain’s office), The Lakes.
As a result of the move we have renamed the store as helloworld Travel The Lakes, Tauranga and are only a 3 minute drive from our previous location, so if you are in the area please drop by to say hello, and see our new store.

Fantastic experience: We booked a 2 week holiday with Katie at Helloworld Travel (The Lakes) to Australia's Gold Coast which included a 7 day 'Barrier Reef' cruise with P&O. All the inside knowledge and advice that we were given took the hassle out of trying something new for our family of five. Once we had decided on a rough itinerary, Katie planned it out and took care of all the details that we wanted included - car hire, making sure the hotels had the bedding arrangements that we needed, WiFi and onsite parking, options for transfers to the cruise terminal, and what to expect once onboard. As first time cruisers, we enjoyed the whole experience, in particular being part of the "Byron Beach Club" as part of booking a mini suite for our family of five. Amongst other things, this enabled us to have a waitered breakfast each morning, plus priority boarding when arriving at the ship, and skipping-the-queue when disembarking on the tender boats for day trips ashore. Plus our own private Byron Beach Club swimming pool and lounging area at the front of the boat. Thanks to all the options presented to us while booking, we had drinks packages and shore excusions pre-booked before even leaving home. Helloworld Travel took care of all the details, provided travel insurance recommendations suited for our holiday, and emailed through updates and flight changes for our trip, which was all very much appreciated. Thanks very much, we had a lovely holiday.

Fantastic experience: Steve and the team were great to work with when organising our last trip. There were a number of parts and Steve worked out the best plan. He managed to connect everything we all wanted to do. He offered ideas, alternatives and solutions. The trip flowed smoothly from Hawaii to Canada and Alaska and we did everything we wanted. Negative experience: Awful experience this afternoon with appaling customer service. The two ladies in the office were entirely disinterested in helping me with my booking enquiry. I've never encountered such a rude, dismissive attitude. I have had holiday quotes from other travel agents which one lady suggested were made up. Really shocked at the attitude and would advise against using this branch of the company.
I am very disappointed to read this review. When you arrived just after 2:30 this afternoon we explained that Katie had to leave to pick up her Children from school. The dates you wanted to travel are June / July school holidays this year and it would be very hard to find availability booking so late. I tried to talk to you but you didn't seem interested in the advice and information I was trying to share with you....you just got up and walked out?

Fantastic experience: We recently returned from travelling to Europe and Asia for eight weeks. Our travel agent, Katie Davies, was absolutely amazing at organising flights, bus tours, trains, a cruise, and a number of day excursions in over 10 countries. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she was efficient, oganised, and very patient, as we made numerous decisions and choices over where to go and what to do. Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend Katie as your travel agent. Her assistance and advice on putting the different components of our holiday together were greatly appreciated. We had a lovely holiday but again we needed her help when Air NZ cancelled our return flight. We could rest easy on our cruise knowing Katie was re-arranging our flights, transfers and booking additional accommodation required. Thank you sooo much :-) Again Katie helped us prepare our expense claim for Air NZ. Fantastic experience: Air NZ had to reschedule our flights to 2 days later. Kylie was very helpful to rearrange accommodation, shuttles and has assisted with insurance claims etc. This was my first time using a travel agent and they have been a huge help throughout this process and we could continue to enjoy our holiday. Fantastic experience: Kylie and Steve are great, have organised several items of travel recently and nothing is a problem, smooth organisation when you are planning your travel. I did run into some pretty significant problems due to the recent cyclone, was due to fly out Auckland on a long haul flight, unfortunately hit lots of flight cancellations at the same time as thousands of other travellers in Auckland because of the bad weather. A phone call to Kylie and we were quickly organised onto a new flight. So we are able to head off for some dinner as hundreds of other people at the airport tried to change flights at the airline counters, so I definitely recommend the team at Hello World The Lakes, they have your back if you need them. Added bonus if you have some American Express points you can redeem them here too! A very happy customer here.

Hi Chrissy, after recieving your 1 star review we did an investigation into this and yes, we dropped the ball and failed to call you back. The message was passed on but it was overlooked by one of our team and for this, we apologise. We phoned you a few days ago and left a message on your answer phone to explain the situation and to apologose to you personally. Errors do happen and not sure this was worth leaving a 1 star review of our business or that unfair comment about "making enough money" and your comment has genuinly offended us. Covid nearly killed our business and we have worked incrdibly hard over the last few years to survive this and service our clients. Fantastic experience: I literally couldn't recommend Helloworld travel enough, what a super company. Kylie was AMAZING! Nothing seemed to phase her and she went above and beyond. She kept in regular communication with us, with updates and simply just to check that everything was going ok. After booking our flights she provided additional information and links to 'travelling with an infant' for our respective airlines, American ESTA applications, and helped us book airport day hotels where appropriate. Fantastic experience: You need service? This place oozes service! My day started with a corporate demand to book travel TODAY. I needed to book flights from NZ -> Barcelona -> Italy -> NZ. Much was the fury that built as I tried to use our corporate travel app, tried to book on the interwebs, and tried another travel agent. My blood pressure was sub-optimal. A friend said "Ring this guy Steve..." The guy is beyond good. Not only did he solve my problem, he built out a post-work vacation for my wife and I that will be envied by many. Don't waste your time. Ring Steve and his team. They will make it right. Do it. Do it now.

Fantastic experience: I have had an incredibly positive experience working with Helloworld Travel. I made an error when booking flights to the UK, resulting in me paying far too much for my tickets. Steve, somehow, was able to remedy this via his local contacts at Singapore Airlines and saved me a small fortune. Steve was a pleasure to work with, honest, diligent and extremely knowledgeable. Fantastic experience: Booked our first ever trip to UK 2019. Had an idea of what I needed and Katie helped with everything. Kept me informed of how things were going. Then covid hit a month out of us going. Katie once again helped with the re organising of our trip. 2021 and covid stayed...cancelled our trip. Once again Katie was amazing and got our things refunded. When we do finally get to book our trip I will definitely be going back to Helloworld.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Steve was superb! The idea of travelling during these challenging times was very overwhelming and Steve was able to sympathize with my situation and offer the best options for my travel. Even a week before my departure date many of my flights were changed and Steve made sure that everything still ran smoothly! Fantastic experience: I had an exceptional experience with Helloworld Travel The Crossing. I was put in a situation during Covid-19 where I had to get to Spain within a week and as you can imagine I thought it would be an absolute nightmare, let alone, was it even possible! But I should not have worried. The service I received was incredible to say the least. With flight options and border restrictions continuously changing I was always kept in the loop of how my travel arrangements were coming together. I don't know how they did it but they booked me on straight forward routes to Spain and even got me a deal for a seat upgrade and luggage allowance. They seem to have extensive connections throughout the aviation industry, hence why I managed to get my flights in the end. A big thank you to the Helloworld team during trying times! Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Booked my dream America trip with the original owners of HelloWorld lakes well over a year ago. With everything that’s happened in terms of covid the whole trip was up in the air when insurance said they wouldn’t pay out. Steve and Kylie have been the best agents a person could ask for, they managed to refund all our accomodation and move our flights for little to no cost. On top of that, they’re nicest humans to deal with and explain everything very simply and somehow keep a terrible situation bearable. 100% recommend for anyone looking to do small or large trips!

Negative experience: An incorrect initial airline departure time supplied to us,could have caused real problems if it had not been picked up.As it was we made an unsatisfactory hotel booking because of it. As Airline rep stated to us ,they are paid a commission to get it right first time.
