Fantastic experience: Booked tours twice at this outlet and served both times by Ronda (pronounced Ron-ya) and it was a fabulous experience. She was attentive to our needs, timings and made sound recommendations based on dates, expected weather and budget. Fuss-free and seamless experience. Highly-recommended! Its conveniently located close to the Lake amidst the many restaurants, bars and shops.

Fantastic experience: Very dedicated and helpful staff! Store manager Ronja Kaul arranged a scenic flight with Cruise to Milford Sound for us on very short notice, even though everything was fully booked online with various providers and we were simply turned away by another provider on site. Great service, thank you very much!

Negative experience: Best to book online as these guys are a rip-off they sell u expensive deals when you can get a cheaper deal on the same place on book me.com Especially Russel n the team said they book go orange a day bfre n when we went the next day they said they don't do it anymore ..n they can't refund deposits We ended up throwing away a $129 ticket in the bin

Negative experience: Hi, As an advice, don't go with happy travels. I booked a trip and the lied me with the itinerary (which I didn't received until the day before of the trip). It wasn't what I expected at all and when I went to talk to them to resolve the situation, they said that noone cancel anything the day before and in case I could do it, the cancelation fee will be the price of the trip...really? Russel and his team made all set up just to earn money without thinking in any costumer service. I went to another agency and when they saw the itinerary they couldn’t understand why they did it. Also, they booked me accomodation saying that they get a better deal and when I checked online it was cheaper. At the end I paid extra ticket for the intercity and I left in the middle of the trip to be able to catch my flight back home. A total shame! Stray bus was very comprehensive but nothing they could do. You can just book your trips straight with the direct companies. Cheers!

The guy that helped us went above and beyond in making sure we picked the right tour to suit our needs despite being peak season. Fantastic experience: Great bunch of folks that are knowledgeable of the tour packages being offered. For our helicopter ride to Mt. Cook, they made recommendations on which day was best for the trip because the weather was unsettled during the week when we were at Queenstown to ensure we all had a great time.

Fantastic experience: I visited happy travels by the lake today in search of booking up one of the many jet boat experiences in and around the Queenstown area. Jake was extremely helpful in explaining all the different options before finally going with the skippers jet boat. Fantastic experience: The guys in happy travels beach street are so enthusiastic and helpful, when I was in last week I felt completely confident that I was being booked onto the best heli tour I'd find in Queenstown, and for such a reasonable price! Fantastic experience: Recently visited Happy Travels after checking with multiple travel shops and spoke with Jake. Out of all places visited even though the shop was clearly busy with other customers, he was the one who took the time to explain all of my options. Ended up booking a Helicopter trip, originally went in for the quick city tour and ended up purchasing one where we landed on the top of a snow peaked mountain with incredible views! Would recommend this 100 times over and would even do it again myself. Everyone on our trip had such an amazing time and major thanks to Jake for getting us the best price and letting us experience our favourite day in Queenstown hands down! Will be going back there for sure to book any furture adventures!

Fantastic experience: I came into Lakeside Happy Travels after a previous review from a friend who assured me the level of service was fantastic. I was not disappointed. I knew I wanted to go to Milford sound, but was unaware of details and prices of all available options. The staff in there, Jack and Russell, explained every detail of each individual package clearly and left no stone unturned, leaving me completely educated about every available option to me which allowed me to select the most appropriate trip to Milford. Would definitely recommend and will be returning for all future excursion bookings!

Fantastic experience: Jake served me today, and he was such a stand-up guy! He was patient while I decided which activities to do in my limited time in Queenstown, helped me find options that were within my budget, and explained the logistics of each activity to me, which was a big help! He organised everything, so I can relax and just enjoy my holiday. Fantastic experience: I don't know what was up Ricky's butt when he left his stink review but Happy Travels on Beach St would have to be one of the friendliest most pro active team of guys i have ever come across.If they don't know about it then its probably not happening. They are up with the play on literally everything that is going on around this area and offer some of the best advise and more competitive deals around.They are super friendly and whoever trained them up deserves a medal. These guys are simply the best. I would neither go to nor recommend anyone other than Happy Travels :)

Fantastic experience: We booked sky diving and shot over jet (Skippers) with these guys and had a fantastic experience. Christian was fantastic. Besides helping us plan our thrill package he was very patient and gave us valuable tips for our stay in NZ and how best to enjoy the activities and even helped us plan our road trips between cities. If you’re doing the shot over jet the best seat is to the right of the driver (one of the Christian tips). These guys are very empathetic and provide great recommendations - do try these guys to book your next adventure activities and you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: (This review is actually for the Happy Travels on Church Street in Queenstown, sorry guys!) Had a blast planning my trip with the help of Christian. He gave great tips on what I could see and do during my trip, keeping everything in mind so I wouldn’t have to rush during my roadtrip. Giving tips on what to skip and where to stay longer. He was very patient when I suddenly came up with an extra travelpal and asked him to book an extra person on some of the activities. Also for extra advice on the local price of sunblock he was a great help :) Now I’m almost ready to pack my bags and go and explore New Zealand, knowing I can always contact Happy Travels for extra info or change of plans.

Fantastic experience: Best customer service ever! Unfortunately I don't have the name of this wonderful British girl who helped us to organise our tours in Queenstown and Milford Sound, she was awesome, patience and gave us the alternatives that best suited us in our short stay, she also gave us some information about campsites and showers nearby!!!! Tours were perfect, everything was on time, friendly people and good quality service. I highly recommend them :)

Fantastic experience: Booked tours with Happy Travels in Australia. Got to Queenstown and didn't know they were in NZ too. Spoke to a guy called Brian who helped us booking Milford Sound, Franz Joseph and Abel Tasman tours. Even booked our accommodation for us in the North Island for free as part of the package. These guys are legends.
