Masterton isite Visitor Information Centre

Fantastic experience: Very helpful and easy to get into.

Negative experience: Sadly, Lisa, who was so knowledgeable and helpful, no longer works at the Masterton i-site. The current staffers were not very helpful, resourceful, or motivated to assist me with my questions about getting a Snapper card, or using the train to Wellington, taking the local buses, or finding coach tours. So I went to the Masterton Library, where the ladies there were eager to assist and be useful. The library hours are more accommodating and they don't close for a long lunch, either. Get current and correct information from the gracious locals at the cafe next door, the Museum, or New World folks, and avoid the i-site staff.
