Fantastic experience: I was a "walk-in" to the Rangiora store. Tayla Glasson was the first person I met, so she was unknown to me. As I introduced myself to her, however, she instantly put aside what she was doing and gave me her full attention. She was clear as to her time-restraints, so I felt confident that she would respond. (Unfortunately a glitch in your IT system put a slight hiatus in that, because my contact details disappeared between my visit and her wanting to reply to me.) But when I went back in-store a few days later, she was apologetic, explained the issue, and was well prepared to assist me immediately with what I wanted. By trialling a number of options, we got some really good flight options over the next couple of days, reducing costs, but allowing me to keep to schedule without additional flights or lengthy layovers. I was impressed. :) ---- Then, a week after booking, I sent additional info. to Tayla via email, but she was away at the time, and within 15 hours Jessica Broadfoot had already actioned what I sent, on Tayla's behalf. That kind of colleague-support, and her great communication to let me know it had been done, was also impressive. Thank you, Tayla and Jessica. :)

Negative experience: KEEP WALKING, go to Northlink. From the moment we walked in, Lisa was rude and unhelpful. We wanted to book a one-way from Turkey back to Melbourne. She looked dazed and confused at the prospect of a one-way ticket. She reluctantly started checking on the computer, not before sarcastically commenting that I'd paid more by booking one-way tickets instead of an RTW ticket. I informed her I had researched, and an RTW ticket was more expensive. This seemed to deepen her disdain for us. She found the tickets (wednesday), and we informed her we'd be back with passports on Friday or Monday. We also informed her we will use our Gem Visa cards to take advantage of the 24 month interest free period. We returned on Friday to be greeted with an even more unhelpful Lisa. It seems the staff had been discussing how we couldn't book a one-way plane ticket, especially using a Gem Visa. She told me she was waiting to hear from Gem Visa and would call me on Monday. At this point, one of the other staff members insinuated that when people use Gem Visa for a one-way ticket, they are being fraudulent. I called her out on this, and she tried to dig herself out, but just got deeper. We left the shop, drove to the Northlink branch, and were greeted upon entry and further assisted by two other amazing team members who got everything booked for us, using Gem Visa, for 24 months. Monday, I received a call from Lisa stating they could not book the flight for me as its not possible on Gem Visa, not even asking if I'd like to book using a differentpaymentoption. It was clear from the moment we walked in that she did not want to be of service to us, dealing with a one-way ticket outside of New Zealand. We saw first hand the lack of professionalism exhibited by the staff in this shop. Avoid this shop. They look for problems, not solutions. Go to northlink. They are awesome.

Positive experience: Be sure to make an appointment before you go as they aren't accepting walk-ins at the moment. However, I went around the corner and called and they let me in a few minutes later. Once in, they were super helpful! They spent so much time trying to work around various dates and get my trip planned!

Negative experience: Incredibly difficult to deal with, wanted to book a cruise. What happened to customer service, gave the details what i was looking for and it was like she wanted me to find the cruise i wanted then they would just take there commission. They need an alternative travel agent in Rangiora

Negative experience: Graham Kevern is the rudest travel agent I have ever come across. He was condescending and terribly rude about my friends choice of accommodation when I mentioned where they were staying the response was "so the very budget end." You would think with the world re-opening travel agents would be a lot nicer and more friendly as they would want all the bookings they could get. I left feel like a dumb little girl and walked on down to Hello World on Conway lane to book with them instead. Nicest ladies in there and the most helpful with all the information they gave.
