Positive experience: Woukd give a five star ..but the lady didnt hold the special for me as promised..i came in next day when she said she was there...the price went up..unhappy. Next time , get agreements in writing or over email so u have a record..but nice manner and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Best travel agent I’ve ever used. Jay Dobie booked my parents trip to Europe as well as their insurance. For me he handled booking insurance when starting our trip outside of NZ, when another company really messed up our insurance plan. I am taking this time to endorse Jay. I have done a lot of overseas travel, used a lot of travel agents and booked a lot of group overseas trips for work. In all my time I have never come across a better agent then Jay. His attention to detail, availability, genuine care and professionalism have been absolutely next level. I really believe he deserves to be applauded. I haven’t even met him in person, and he has not only managed my insurance but has also assisted me in visa advise, travel advise, answered all questions going over and above even when there is no financial gain for him. I have been recommending him to everyone I know, and will continue to do so in the future. Jay I wish you the best of success, well done and thank you so much.

Negative experience: Don't use flight centre..... they mis-communicated a flight change with me and in turn made me 1 day late home... I had promised my children I would be having dinner with them..... so because of their in ability to do there jobs they have made me a liar to my children..... I will never use them again..... have a nice day

Negative experience: After flight centre papamoa shut down during Covid they told me to come here as I had paid for flights and couldn’t leave the country due to Covid at the time, and the airline I booked with still aren’t flying to NZ. The flight centre person I was dealing with since left her job, and it’s impossible to get in contact or ask for help in bayfair. I work in the mall and go to them on breaks and they’re just rude and no help. No idea where the money went that I paid for the flights. No help whatsoever. Just leave there feeling flustered and stressed.

Negative experience: Called a couple times to make a appointment and received nothing back finally ended up going in store for advice and left after a couple minutes with a book about places to go not much help unfortunately

Negative experience: Very stressful to deal with. The girl dealing with us upon first meeting mentioned she was so hungover from partying all night and couldn't wait to finish early, another time mentioned they were closing early to all go for drinks. Should have seen how unprofessional it would be from that. We got mucked around multiple times and when trying to sort it out she was " never in the office, just popped out the back, or is on another call" Would not recommend.

Negative experience: Flight Center arranged our flights, accommodation, and a rental car. We seemed to pay the going price for flights and accommodation, and when we got there, we noticed we paid way too much for the car. And it wasn't even insured. We were unable to contact them when we needed them. Wont use this service again.

Negative experience: Unfortunately our experience with flight centre has been horrible. I went into the Bayfair Flight Centre twice over the weekend, just aiming to pop in. Both encounters were very rude and very unfriendly. The only reason we were needing to go in store to book was because we had vouchers to use that you can't book yourself online. I went in today to get them booked, I had already done the research on which flights and just needed to book. We were hit with a $300 service fee for a job that took less than 10 minutes. While I appreciate that we were paying for the service, if we could have used our vouches online we wouldn't have needed the service. If you don't need to go in for using vouchers do not book through them in person! We will never be using flight centre again.
Negative experience: Not a great experience with the Bayfair flight centre office. After calling in and wishing to pass on our intended flight itinerary to get a quote to the USA, the consultant asked me please email them with details of what we wanted. I highlighted the fact that I had called into the office to verbally and personally provide this information and why would it make any sense to go home again and email the consultant the same information - the consultant said if they made a note of imy request now, they would most likely lose the piece of paper. As a consequence, we went and booked elsewhere,

Negative experience: Everything went well until we got to our destination and discovered that the times we had been given for our excursions were wrong. Ended up missing one because we got an incorrect start time on the intiniary. Tour coy said it happens alot with Flight Centre bookings. ALWAYS confirm directly with the tour coy before leaving NZ (we arrived too late in the evening to confirm the day before the tour and no after hours help)

Positive experience: Used to be a good way to book international airfares when they had their price guarantee. But is now always significantly more expensive than booking directly. Went into this store to get a price for return airfares to London but wanted 1k more than what the airline was asking if you book directly with them. Lesson learned. Better to book directly now. On a positive side lots of friendly team and a positive customer service experience. Just don’t think I’ll book with flight centre until they are more competitive
Negative experience: Seriously DON’T book here, unless you’d like a STRESSFUL and unpleasant holiday. Our travel agent completely forgot to book one of our flights, I’m so glad we double checked our Itinerary and contacted her in time otherwise we would’ve been stranded in an airport or had to pay extra money. She also booked everything under the wrong name like our hotels. (my name instead of my mothers). I also have other complaints but I’ll just say these ones.

Fantastic experience: Jay Dobie and the team at Bayfair are awesome! I tried to make a change to our flights directly with the airline (LAN Chile who are horrible and I would never fly with again!). After almost 8 hours on the phone to the airline, while we were meant to be on holiday, they had change my wife's flight and one of the kids but had the rest of us coming back on a different date! No matter how hard I tried to explain this, LAN just told me it was not possible to move and that we would have to fly back on separate dates and essentially not spend NYE together! Jay contacted me as he had noticed the changes happening in my booking and immediately took control of the situation, advising me to have a beer and relax while he sorted it. I was doubtful that he would be able to do anything but sure enough the next morning he contacted me to say everything had been sorted and not only were we all on the same flight but he had managed to waive the $400USD pp fee from the airline! What an absolute legend, I would highly recommend booking your next trip with Jay and the team at FC!

Negative experience: What was meant to be an exciting time for my partner who is brasilian and myself taking his 5 year old son to Brasil for holiday turned into a nightmare. Flight centre Bayfair allowed my partners ex partner to change his son's flight without our permission. Several battles later we had the flights changed back but his flights were now separate to ours. Every flight to Brasil turned into a nightmare. 1.5 hours later here we are sitting in Porto Alegre Airport while they struggle to get us all seated together for our 3 flights home. A big drama that could've been avoided had they not breached privacy in the first place and allowed our flights that we paid for to be changed. Thanks for the unnecessary drama you created. Will not use again.

Positive experience: went to book some tickets overseas. the price i was being charged was different to the website. more expensive. sorted that out then had a slight issue getting the name on the ticket printed out the same as passport. sorted. went back to pay and the ticket price had gone up again from the quoted price. didnt have much choice but to pay it. i never really understood why. they got me where i wanted to go but it wasnt a smooth road

Negative experience: Really disappointing service. We went in four weeks ago to get flight information, we have since had to make several follow up calls to ask if anyone is looking into travel information for us... strung along for four weeks over the phone and have still never received any information or even an email to say that there is going to be a delay in getting information to us (an email to say they are unable to help would have even been appreciated). Was really excited about supporting flight centre with things reopening, but not worth the time.

Negative experience: I was adivised by a Flight Centre agent that would be really simple and easy to get a visitor visa to Canada but because I relied on the information it was passed on to me I'm having the worst holidays nighmare that someone could ever have. I actually had to apply for a completely different type of Visa than the one that was advised to me and because of that all my trip is falling apart. I'll need to wait for the processing time - average of 19 days. It can take more or it can take less. But here I am, not working, with all my trip planned, all the money spent on accommodations, tours and my Canadian partner and his family waiting for me while I need to wait for my Visa. What would you do if you had booked flights already and your visa haven't arrived yet because, of course, you were relying on the information that has been passed on to you from someone that should be an expert on traveling matters. How you'd feel? I'm feeling sad, frustrated, depressed and I can barely sleep properly because of the anxiety I've been passing. I would never ever use or recommend Flight Centre services to anyone.

Fantastic experience: What fantastic and committed staff.my son and I were recently stranded in the USA (through no fault of ours) Jay and Rachel went above and beyond' even staying after the shop closed to help us out. They were great to deal with and have kept us up to date with all aspects of working out what happened. I personally recommend their service and would not hesitate to book with them again.
Positive experience: Have used Jay and the team a number of times. Really good service on the whole. Found a mistake with our booking while overseas, Laura was excellent in resolving it (stayed after hours) and the issue was dealt with professionally on our return. Cannot recommend them enough
