Negative experience: Not a great experience and I was amazed to see $150 extra charge I get if you charge up to $50 for your service fee but $150 that’s insane. Save your time and go somewhere else with much better options

We’ve heard from our customers that they want transparency in our pricing, so the fee reflects this. The fee does cover access to our Flight Centre resources and people, giving you service, value, expertise, and peace of mind. This includes a dedicated expert that can advise on the best travel options for you, any documentation that is needed, and give you access to exclusive deals. It also covers you while you are away with our 24/7 support line and your travel expert there to help if any component of your trip faces changes or cancellations. All of this ultimately means your trip is in safe hands from booking to arriving home again.
Negative experience: I was assured my transfers to and from Rome airport were included in the cost of my accommodation. I incurred an additional cost for the transfers and no amount of emailing and phone calls has got a response thus far. If I don’t get the €140 refunded I will see Flight Centre in the small claims court as the additional cost is not covered by Covermore Insurance. Be sure to keep all your receipts for a refund because you will be dicked around to the max even if it’s their property that has invalidated their receipt. It was an eye opener learning how the Flight Centre will draw the business of a refund out. Still I got a full refund eventually. They work on the basis that people are too busy or disinclined to pursue their rights. And the agents operate with impunity so why wouldn’t they. Kia kaha.

Negative experience: We usually do our own bookings for overseas trips and decided to take a break from that and go instead to the Flight Centre to see what they could do for us for a spur-of-the-moment 10-12 day visit to Perth and surrounding attractions. Taylor sounded positive and customer-focused initially when she took our requirements plus details and, as we were off to do shopping and she was off the next day, said one of her colleagues would phone us back Friday. She gave us her card and also said she was back on Sunday so we could drop in then if we wanted. No one called Friday. We were busy and unable to drop in Sunday so gave it a day and called her DDI Tuesday morning. Ringing - no reply. We called the main centre number Tuesday afternoon and someone took a note asking Taylor to contact us. No callback. We called Taylor's DDI Wednesday, asked why no one had called and told her not to bother following up - we'd do our own bookings again. I'd worked in customer service for over 25 years and this was a very disappointing experience showing lack of professionalism and care. Pity.
Sorry to hear you're not happy with your experience Barb, this is not how we want our customers to feel! Unfortunately with our agents being in such high demand with travel enquiry skyrocketing, we are finding that the demand is outstripping our ability to answer every call, whilst still assisting customers in store & over emails. We do highly recommend booking an appointment with your original agent as this guarantees a dedicated sit down to talk about your booking. Regardless, we apologise if you didn't receive the service you expected and we will be sure to channel this feedback as appropriate :)
Negative experience: They hardly now what year it is let along finding you the best deal , better off searching google what you want then wait for the adds with better deals to come to your phone

Fantastic experience: I went to the New Lynn branch with my partner,,was sceptical at first from reading the reviews but how wrong i was..it was a pleasant atmosphere .. Our travel expert was a lovely lady named Natasha who made the booking ever so pleasant and covered everything in fine detail..My partner and i left with all the correct information and a sense of security knowing that all qualms were eased.. I suggest if you do want to travel give Flight Centre New Lynn a call and make a booking.. There a great team but Natasha is exceptional...ask for her..!! Thankyou to the team at FlightCentre New Lynn..will return there for future bookings..

Fantastic experience: Dielle has been fantastic to deal with. She has been a great help with our trip planning and has been so patient when we weren't even sure what we wanted! She gave me lots of great tips and ideas and she had visited our destination recently which was a bonus. I would definitely use her services on our next trip and will recommend to family and friends.

Negative experience: Very pathetic customer service. Every time you go into the store all ladies busy searching something in their computers and never greets any customer. Very rude and arrogant staff in this store. Also their prices are 20-30% higher than whats showing on the airlines website which is highly unfair and rip off. Advice - All customers must check pricing on Airlines website as well as other agents before booking with Flight centre and blindly trusting their prices.

Negative experience: Not impressed. Sat for nearly an hour waiting, clearly I understand it’s a busy time lots of people wanting to have flights booked. But maybe a booking option would be better, where someone is there to greet you, advise the wait time and offer a booked appointment. Instead you leave people sitting for goodness knows how long.

Negative experience: I booked travel return to Thailand for my wife and daughter in law. I noticed immediately the queues and staff apparently not interested in people waiting. We eventually were attended to by Taylor who was delightful and made our bookings for us. The international booking was with Emirates, and everything was good there. The journey required forward booking with a local airline. The airline was Lion Thai Airways. I did not check the airline, and don't think I should have had to. Apparently in Thailand it is regarded as the budget of budget airlines, with the major complaint being cancellations. The booking was made 5 months in advance. Almost immediately we started getting small changes in flight times from Lion Thai Air. Then we got one that had us arriving in Bangkok an hour after the connecting flight had left. That was important because we had to reorganise flights for the next day, and accommodation in Bangkok overnight. Phone calls and emails to Fight Centre were unanswered and we were getting very frustrated, and worried. So I went to the store prepared to wait in a queue again!!! Eventually a gentlemen who appears to be the owner of the place approached us and I told him I was very grumpy. He blamed everything on Taylor being on holiday. Sorry Mr. owner, customers do not get to wait because the person that sold them the ticket is on holiday. Anyway when Taylor got back she organised a new flight. My wife reported the service from Qantas as excellent but that Lion Thai had further very inconvenient delays after she arrived in Bangkok. This airline is not what should be offered for people with connecting flights. So I wrote to Taylor listing our disappointment and suggesting that future customers should be warned of the risks of going with this airline. I would have been happy with an apology and thanks for bringing the matter to our attention. I received nothing, which makes me suspect they intend to keep on selling tickets for this airline to unsuspecting travelers. Either way they get a two stars for a very polite Taylor, and excellent service from Qantas and Emirates, otherwise I would have given them only 1. We will definitely not be going back to this travel agent...I am sorry to say.

Fantastic experience: Never was a big fan of flight centre as they always charge more for flights than other websites. BUT they offered me a great deal on accommodation. It was so much cheaper than what I had been quoted elsewhere AND included all these VIP perks. Holly Mallinson is a STAR. Pleasure to deal with and very helpful.

Negative experience: I have to say of all the flight centre stores this one has to be the worst in terms of service, reliability and response. In fact, overall, service is poor. They say one thing and never follow up. I have heard from others that they too have experienced the same thing with this same store.

Negative experience: Our motive to visit Flight Centre was to get a holiday package BUILT for us, which seemed to be much of a task for 'Deepti' after 5pm. Every question was answered with sarcasm and to procrastinate the solution. I wish there was a ZERO star as a review!! Flight centre, Newlynn - represented by 'Deepti' spoiled our holiday before it began. Flight centre claims on their website - "We have highly trained, expert teams who are ready to BUILD your dream holiday today." She mentioned she was not there to build our holiday, wanted us to do the research and come back just for bookings. When asked for the significance of Flight centre, answer we got was that she can help us to reschedule things. She gave an excuse about time constraint that they have other customers to be taken care of. They close at 6pm but she asked us to leave at 5:25pm giving the reason she would invest time on us ONLY if we were paying instantly. Imagine the expectation! No wonder this branch has so many bad reviews. High time for head office Flight Centre to train staff in this branch.

Negative experience: Wanted to book a ticket from London to Ireland. We thought we would be in and out. The guy who dealt with us showed us the ‘only ticket’ available which was about $1000. We were surprised, and asked if that was the cheapest available. He then clicked a button, and showed us the exact same flights for $800. This is an hour and half flight. We decided not to go with them, and tried ourselves when we got home. We found flights, and ended up getting coach transfers included, for $400. The price went from $1000 to $400. The whole encounter reeked of scheming commission workers. We expected to pay a bit extra for them going to the trouble of finding the bookings, but not 150% extra. It felt like the person we dealt with knew that they were keeping the cheaper flights from us to line his own pockets, and because of that they lost our money and our trust. We have booked big trips in the past with flight centre, and the extra you paid did feel worth it. But please very wary for scheming money grabbers like the one we dealt with.

Negative experience: Customer service doesn't exist here. Walked into New Lynn branch. They didn't even say hi and wouldn't acknowledge that I exist. Some are on their computers with no other customers with them. They knew I was standing there at the entrance and they did make a quick eye contact. But no greetings. I was just standing there waiting to be served. Even if they were busy, a normal person will say hello and please wait. No communication.

Negative experience: dealt with a woman named Narelle or something, she was an absolute bench. I am glad to see she's not working there anymore but I had my run with flightcentre. I am always booking trips myself.

Negative experience: I went to flight centre new lynn branch today. There was one gentleman in the store who was arrogant and unprofessional. He failed to a knowledge that a customer had walked in and l stood there for a good 5 minutes with not even a word or gesture from him that someone is coming to help. A lady then came from the back and managed to assist and in the process the gentleman interjected our conversation yelling from his corner. To my surprise my conversation was going well with the lady who was explaining to me yet he ignored me in the first instance. That was so unprofessional to scream/ yell at a customer especially when all was going well with his colleague. I will never go back to that store and would never recommend anyone because of that behaviour. I will stick to other branches where customers are treated with respect.

Fantastic experience: I just returned to Auckland from Hawaii. I would to take this opportunity to thank Vae Matatia for organising such a great wonderful trip to Hawaii. I was staying at Aqua Palms Hotel in Waikiki. The hotel I stayed was excellent including the staff and hotel management. Vae made my holiday a memorable one. Everything was organised beautifully and I had a marvelous time on my shoe string budget. The tours were great. Negative experience: I went into flight centre at Lynn Mall today. There were 4 staff working whilst 1 staff was dealing with customers. When I walked in the girl on the left looked at me and couldn’t look away faster as she kept sipping on her coffee with her arms folded. The other 2 guys just pretended they didn’t see me! The guy in the foreign exchange money hut was in as much shock as me. I was actually that shocked I just walked out without saying anything. Anyway, safe to say I will not be going back there again. I should’ve went to the Milford brach who are always happy to help and where I usually book my flights. I ended up booking my flights and accommodation with house of travel who were happy and had the most amazing customer service. Sort your staff out!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic customer service at Flight Centre Lynmall! (the shop inside the mall). Have dealt with Ruth Manley for years now for multiple overseas holidays, her approach to detail and communication is top notch ! I can leave everything completely in her hands to organise from the flights and accommodation to insurances, transfers, booking shows etc, the lot! I know I will always get the best deal and the best customer service through her! 100% recommend. Very reliable, friendly and experienced Travel Agent.
