Negative experience: I do not recommend purchasing the Flight Centre gift card due to additional fees. It can be disappointing to receive a gift for occasions like birthdays or Christmas, only to find out that extra fees apply when I use it to book the flight. (I got the gift for my birthday present).

We do ensure it is made clear for customers both online when purchasing vouchers, and when a customer receives a gift card, that these are to be used in-store (or via phone) with our team. Pricing is based on live availability, and our in-store team will have access to a range of different systems, just as our online team do - and in some rare cases, these do not always match up. If you would like to use your gift voucher, our team in-store are happy to assist with this at the best rate they have available across their in-store systems.
Negative experience: Maybe because it's Sunday at 10am! Greeted by a very rude travel agent, assuming we have never traveled overseas in our lives before.

Fantastic experience: Our recent holiday was organized by Charlotte Asher we could not have asked for a better travel agent. Charlotte set up the cruise the flights airfares for our dream holiday, unfortunately the cruise ship we were on broke down four days into the trip, which of course it meant we had to arrange new flights to get that home again. Just through emails Charlotte was able to organize Flights for us to arrive home. As we were to be compensated by the cruise company Charlotte handled all this part of the refund for us. I can not speak highly enough on the effort she went to to make the experience seamless. Charlotte is not only a great team leader, but she has a great team around her. So thankyou to you all. We will be using Charlotte and her team for our next great adventure coming up soon.

Fantastic experience: A massive thank you to Grace Lloyd-Forrest from Riccarton (Westfield Mall) branch, who made the process of booking flights back to New Zealand for the first time in 4 years seamless. Answering emails extremely quickly and always looking for the best deals for my family, Grace was the friendly voice at the other end of the phone/email to talk through any questions I had. Travelling with my husband and our 2 children, Grace was able to find two sets of flights to suit our needs so my husband could return earlier to the UK for work whilst we enjoyed an extended stay with family. Really appreciate everything Grace has done to ensure our flights go smoothly next week. Would recommend Grace to all, as someone to contact to assist with your travel needs.

Negative experience: Would not recommend using flight centre riccarton, once they have your money they have no further interest in you. Customer service haven't got a clue so if you have an emergency don't bother ring there after hour service. Scattered seats throughout the plane and 8 year old granddaughter seat no where near her parents Air zealand came to the rescue, consumers be warned book all you flights and hotels yourself One you can deal with airlines yourself instead of having to go through flight centre to be told nothing we can do.

Negative experience: Went in there 5:10 pm to book a holiday. Told us that they were closed. Doors half down at this time tho hours advertised as closing at 6 pm. When I pointed this out she argued that they were winding down to close. Customer service non existent, so customers left to go elsewhere!!! Won’t be back. Negative experience: I don’t expect gold class service, only to do the basics of customer service right. However the service received from Grace at Riccarton mall has fallen well short. Negative experience: For the first time in my life I decided to go to a flight agency - NEVER AGAIN. TL;TR: expensive (almost 50% over competitors), agents can be rude and they lie. (*) I recommend reading the last paragraph I write as a software developer. OPINION: Their "the cheapest" prices are spoof. Agent found "the cheapest flight" for 4600NZD/pp from Emirates. Before coming, I checked sky scanner (ss) which I trust as a long-year user with no issues ever, 3200NZD/pp from Emirates - almost 50% price difference! Not at any point I stopped being calm but the agent being told about my finding they: a. ridiculed ss calling them a scam, b. ridiculed me for saying I was on the Emirates website - "you've been to a scam website", c. raised their voice as they were talking to me, d. became rude. They must be right because otherwise they lose their jobs as agents for website such as ss. Finally, it was hard to talk with them face to face, saying politely, their breath was not fresh. I went out, no worth my time. I bought tickets via ss directly from Emirates for 3200NZD/pp. (*) HOW Flight Centre MOST LIKELY OPERATES Their system searches airlines' websites and have two prices: a. the cheap one, like one I got via ss, which they hide from you, b. available to everyone on airlines' websites but much more expensive which they show to you as a proof what you pay them for. The difference between them is their profit and your huge loss. I think agents don't have any idea how their system operates, they have their salaries and who cares how the money appears...

Negative experience: Very unprofessional travel agent I ever used in my life... They had done big mistakes in 2014 and ruined my journey and said that wasn't there mistake... After 7 years I have give them another chance and they done same again..that was terrible experience in airport early in the morning.. I just missed the flight with my family.. Fantastic experience: Recently, my family of 4 used Flight Centre in Riccarton Mall to book all of our international and domestic flights to and within Australia. Charlotte Asher was our travel agent and is a very knowledgeable and capable agent with a great deal of experience and is clearly very good at her job. Not only did she manage to get better prices for us for our international flights than prices I could find myself, but she also managed to get the price of the domestic flight within Australia inside of our budget which was a huge bonus. Charlotte is very perceptive and made sure she took care when organising our in-flight meals, including accommodations for my strict dietary requirements. Overall we had an extremely positive experience, and the whole process was made very easy by Flight Centre, and in particular, Charlotte who was wonderful.

Negative experience: No help with virgin credit told to do it myself and they're the ones who did bookings. So yes I emailed as per their comment to email them and got a reply. In my email I asked if they could help as we still needed to get to Australia to use our credits. This wasn't even mentioned from them so yet again disappointed with service so won't be dealing with them again. Looking forward to dealing with house of travel in the near future

Negative experience: Poor service. Their helpline doesn't help much about visa requirements. They asked to visit the store but its too crowded and waited for more than half an hour.. their staff is too slow. Sometimes, sorry does not work. And stop saying ppl "thank you for your patience" starting thinking about customers and adding a workforce when you see the need.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional staff. They must hire more people to service the customers. They are just busy on their computer and phones and even not welcoming you. I went two days in a row and waited for more than 1 hour and the lady said that she is on a call and can not advise me anything, with a very unpleasant tone of voice. Such behavior and poor management gets the business down, owners should get aware about what’s happening in their store. I was with my friends to book 8 tickets, but such behavior changed our plans and we used a different travel agency. Not good for business.

Fantastic experience: Great service from Chris at Flight Centre Riccarton. Not only did he help plan out our trip (and deal with my immensely specific requests) but he advised a great itinerary and got us an awesome deal on flights. We had an amazing trip. We had a snafu with the rooms booked for fewer people than were in our party (via a third party Flight Centre use) and Chris was awesome at mediating this issue and securing us a refund. He was always friendly and mindful of our time and I really appreciated how he made a stressful situation with the rooms a lot less stressful from afar.
Positive experience: Pretty average service. 2 days in a no acknowledgement when you walk in the door. Too busy on their phones and computers to even say "welcome, take a seat - we will be with you soon" (whilst serving no one might I add) just sitting ignoring you and the other 10 people waiting to be seen with alot of confusion from customers on what to do. Once we Sat down with a representative she was efficient and helpful also very friendly and knowledgeable. Maybe a bit of practice in acknowledgement of customers when they arrive would be good.

Fantastic experience: I do not usually write reviews but i wanted to share my experienced with this travel agency. Look for Sharlotte Mackenzie, she is the best agent ever. she is someone that others in her profession could learn from. Did my booking last year November for May 2023 flight that cost 6 grand and we found out after a month that my wife is pregnant. Flight Cancellation is not an option because of the cancellation fee as well as rebooking. Sha (Sharlotte) find a way to help us get our money back in full. She looked after us as if we were her family. Keeps us updated. From the moment you enquire you know your in good hands. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Very poor ,too long wait times just to answer a call., unusual considering travel has been zero over the last 2 years.

Negative experience: The worst client service, the agent abbey clark I have never felt so humiliated before. I came to flight center to get a travel quotation, but I got the WORST customer service ever. So bad that when i was checking the trip details, ABBEY CLARK told me to leave so other customers can come. Is this becasue I'm a migrant? well, migrants come to NZ to do tourism. This girl treated us like rubbish. I don't want to believe that this is the policy of Flight Center, but certainly, I will not recomend coming to the Ricarton branch to anybody. No one deserves beign abused by one of the staff.

Negative experience: Never posted a review before but thought this might be useful for you to make sure you can improve your service. I went in a week or so ago to get some overseas flights and got quoted ~$5,500 (which is more than $1,500 from what I was looking at online). I had given a lot of suggestions (i.e. looking at different cities to fly in and out of, different dates etc.) but the lady at the desk just did not seem like she could be bothered to help in the slightest. I ended up going to House of Travel just across the road where they found the required flights (with Qatar Airways) for me for $3,700. I'm sure you have access to Qatar Airways flights as they fly all over the world so I'm just baffled as to why I got quoted almost $2,000 more at your centre?

Fantastic experience: Sharlotte was amazing to deal with, though I have had dealings with several other team members such as Joe and Polly, and I literally cannot fault any of them, they all looked after me as if I were their own client. Negative experience: I cannot believe how flight centre has handled Covid and dealing with flights. Constantly being told incorrect information and then being told I am incorrect when they don't have the correct information. Left with no replies. Very disappointed in this store and the hornby one. Been moved around at least 4 people now. Never using flight centre again. I recommend house of travel.
