Fantastic experience: That review from the customer who for some weird reason decided to slate Debra the owner is so far out of reality I thought it was a joke or from a disgruntled rival agency. She has been our agent for 30 years and we have NEVER had anything less than a stunning experience right across the board of entry level economy travel through to business class. We have sent over 50 clients and friends to her and every single time they come back with a rave review with her customer service and caring no matter what their budget and circumstances. She has a national reputation for personally ensuring every client booking is flawless while being available to assist at any time. Her industry experience, connections and her personal integrity are reflected in every client booking. Debra hit it out of the ball park again when our student daughter had panic day before visa and flight issues created by embassy officials last week. In one phone call and within one hour, Debra had sourced and ticketed new flights on a new airline, re routed her via the embassy, organised a refund on her orginal flights and still texted our daughter on the day to ensure she had made all the connections and was on her way. Our daughter is so grateful she did not use the internet for her original booking, as the benefits of being able to call Debra and get help were priceless. Negative experience: If someone were to ask me if they should go to House of Travel Upper Riccarton, my immediate answer would be - absolutely not! My partner and I went here five months before we left New Zealand, expecting a seamless experience with no stress. This was not the case! Dealing with the branch director, Debra, we thought we were in good hands. This was anything but, as we felt like a burden and would be ignored for weeks at a time. Further, booking accomodation and travel was like pulling teeth - as Debra would delay the process, causing price increases and our preferred transport option being fully booked. We only experienced a small mishap on holiday regarding transport tickets, the communication was minimal and slow, especially in a time sensitive situation. Overall our experience was dismal and would not recommend to anyone.
